Day 3 part two:
Dexter became a little less incredible and took off his costume. I think he was a little relieved that he no longer had all the responsibilities that a super hero has.

Now he was just my little boy again.
A little boy who LOVES Lighting McQueen!!! So we checked the time and headed over to where the Cars come out. We tried to get him all pumped up to see Lightning, so we bought him a die-cast car.
If you have ever seen the movie Cars then you know that in the first big race Lighting McQueen has to jump over a bunch of the other cars who had crashed. While he jumps he sticks out his tongue Michael Jordan style. That is what Dexter is doing in this picture.
Finally the Cars came driving down the street. Dexter seemed a little overwhelmed.
I was expecting a better reaction.

Something that said, "MOMMY, I love you and you made my dreams come true." but all I got was...
"mommy, why is daddy holding me in front of this rusty car?"
That's what I thought anyway... But when the cars were driving away Shawn & Dexter followed them. And Shawn said that when the cars finally were out of sight, Dexter turned to him and said, "OH WOW!!!!"
Emmie fell asleep so we all decided to split up for awhile and meet in front of Lights Motor Action in a few hours. Shawn, Dexter and I went to play at the Honey I shrunk the kids play area.
We started on the baby slides, and slowly graduated to the big slides. I never thought he would go down the film strip... but once he did it he didn't want to stop!!! (no pictures = no camera)
We ate lunch at the counter services behind the play area. It wasn't all that good, but it did fill our bellies.
Next, off to Lights Motor Action. (last year this was the first place that Dexter ever clapped on his own) Dexter just watched the whole show with very little emotion... just followed the cars very closely but didn't smile or frown. We weren't real sure if he was enjoying it.... But then after the last explosion and when everyone started to get up and leave - his enthusiasm came out!!! He doesn't speak very good English yet (more of a Dexter-ease) but you could tell he was telling you about the show and what he saw. It was VERY clear that he liked it.
We all headed over to the Great Movie Ride and on the way Dexter got inked.
Don't pay attention to the sign that says "drys immediately" cause they do not!! The first tattoo he got rubbed off... we went back and they gave him a fresh one for free. This time we made sure that he didn't touch it until it was really dry (about 30 minutes later).
The Great Movie Ride is one of my favorites. But I was very disappointed this time because we got the girliest Man Mobster in the world!!! Come on now, were all the cast members on vacation??? I could have done a WAY better job then that guy, but just assumed that getting that job must be difficult.... (guess not)
Everyone was getting crabby so we headed back to POP. Shawn & Steph decided they need naps, so me and my brother took the kids to the pool.
Emmie had fun at first, but got cold and tired really fast.
Dexter loved it, and didn't want to leave!
After we dragged Dexter away from the pool we all got dressed and went over to the Market Place. Nothing real exciting happened that night. We just walked around, and ate dinner at Earl of Sandwich (I would have eaten there every day if I could have).
Time to go to sleep and rest up.
