Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

So here she is in her bathing suit ready to go play with her classmates.

Ooooooh, I LOVE little baby feet! Those little pudgy toes are just screaming for me to kiss them!!! My kiddos just have smelly feet now. I miss their little baby feet...

Love the spread! The hidden MeMom is hilarious.

And that baby is actually even cuter (who knew it was possible?) when stuffing pizza in her face.

I'm going to agree - the pizza-stuffin' baby is my favorite shot! That kid is ready for Disneyworld!!! popcorn::

We had a lot of good food and a lot of good laughs. Disney Scene It becomes a wild experience with us. That quiet little box just sits there, but when opened, it unleashes the beast in one of us (Trent). I have to say, he is lightning quick on parts of it. I chose Minnie for my pawn, and we spent a lot of time at START before we finally moved a little bit. The others took off and had quite the race to the finish. I got all the hard questions!!! I knew the answers to all their questions, but none of mine. I think Jill spent the afternoon before I got there rigging the game.

The food was delicious! I ate about a tenth of a turkey leg, and it was melt-in-your-mouth good. The Mickey Rice Krispie treats were cute, although I didn't eat one. Maybe Jill will make some again in the future. I really just forgot, because they were over on the counter away from the table. "The Wheelbarrow" was a hit. I was just fine with everyone leaving the cherries. I ate them when I was cleaning up the wheelbarrow. We all chowed down quite happily, but poor Ben, the dog, made us feel a little guilty as he whimpered pitifully and continuously until he was let out to enjoy some of the leftovers. Brooklynn would have had no chance with her pizza if Ben had been around while we were eating.

Lifeguard Mickey has been the chosen guy to go with us on this year's trip. He will be in charge of all water activities. I hope you'll get to know and enjoy him, along with the humans in our group.

I think we took the Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach theme seriously, because, as you might have noticed, no one around had any shoes on. There were a lot of feet in those pictures!

Good job getting the pictures up on this very busy morning, Jill. You're a good girl! I hope Donuts with Dads was a big hit. Have a great Friday, everyone!

I have to tell you all that my sweet daughter presented Kristi and me with envelopes last night. We are to open one envelope each day until our trip. I just opened mine for today, and it asked what ride I just HAVE to go on at Animal Kingdom? My answer is Expedition Everest! I plan to be there for the opening on our first full day, and I plan to head straight to Everest for a ride and a FastPass. I am looking forward to opening my little Disney treasures each day, just like a little kid! The guys didn't get envelopes. That's what they get for rolling their eyes at our Disney plans all the time. They secretly enjoy it, but they just like making fun of us more than they like admitting it.

Thank you for our countdown envelopes. You're a keeper! I will enjoy opening each one...especially the LAST ONE!!!

Memom- I think I see you!!! At least your eyes and elbow are not shy.

Jill- did YOU do all that food? or did Memom? Who ate the kitchen sink? OY!

Brooklyn- love your bikini baby girl!!!! Did they give you a Mickey chocolate thingy?

WOW! What a spread! I gained 5 pounds just looking!
I did all of it except for the wheelbarrow that was all Memom. And John grilled the burgers for me while I finished up everything else. It was a blast!

Brooklynn did have some of my rice krispie Mickey head and she also ate most of Memom's bowl from the wheelbarrow and then the little scavenger came and ate half of mine. Could be why she has a little pudgy belly in that bikini?

I'm glad every one else thinks I have a cutie pie. She is my pride and joy and makes even the worst day better when she grabs my face in her little chubby hands and gives me a big open mouth slobber kiss.
Nothing says I love you more than drool up your nose!:lmao:

Do you think Disers have the ability to read each others' thoughts over hundreds of miles? I have friends who have been in WDW this week. The mom called me from the line at Small World one day and from MGM another day. Her five year old son was squealing with excitement over seeing the Red Ranger at the time she called. I didn't hear from her Wednesday, because they went to Universal, and I don't know anything about Universal. She didn't call yesterday, either, but no big deal. However, when I hadn't heard from her today, I was going to call and remind her that I was supposed to be going along on this vacation via her cell phone, and she was forgetting that! How dare her to be so engrossed in her own family's fun that she was forgetting me! So, I went and got the phone to call her at 1:53, but then I thought, nah, they might be taking an afternoon nap. I'd give them until 5:00, when I figured they'd be up and heading out to eat somewhere. At 1:55, the phone rang. It was her! I told her she must have that Disney ESP, because I was sure thinking about them.

She said they have had an awesome time, but tonight is their last night, and she doesn't want to leave. Imagine that! She said they're going to close Magic Kingdom tonight, and then they have to force themselves to get back on the road to reality tomorrow. She said it has been crowded, but EMH has been a lifesaver. She said they rode Dinosaur 5 times one evening. She said it has rained and stormed some, but it hasn't ruined their good time at all. They ate at PrimeTime, 'Ohana, and CRT, but were turned away at Sci-Fi since they had no reservations there. She was aggravated at her husband because he insisted they wouldn't need reservations for Sci-Fi. She was talking a mile a minute about how much fun they had had. I look forward to seeing the pictures and hearing her (and the kids) relive the trip as they show me those. She has loved staying at the Contemporary. They stayed at Poly on their last trip, 5 years ago, but she said Contemporary seems to be a better fit for them. She likes hopping off that monorail and being in the same building with her room. It is so fun for me to hear the excitement in her voice, to look forward to seeing her family's pictures soon, and to know that we still have our trip yet to come! That made my afternoon brighter just hearing from someone who is there now enjoying the magic.

Tiggerbell-Did you not notice that we're from Tennessee and Alabama??? Shoes are only for special occasions!

Oh, and by the way, for a little Fun with Feet activity, go over to the Community Board and look at Banshee's post about "Put your right foot in...". Pretty interesting.

Great pretrip so far guys! I can't wait to read more!!

The party looked like fun that's a great idea I just might steal it for when we go next summer. My Dsister and Dniece and will be joining us then!!

Keep up the good work!!!:yay: popcorn::

Thank you so much for the invitation and the inspiration. :yay:
Im envious of you being off now. I still have 6 and a half days to go.:headache:
What a sweet baby. I hope her trip is fulll of wonderful memories for you all. I'll be back to check in later!

My Disney envelope for today contained a six pack of Winnie the Pooh pencils. I was about to pout, because when I went to get my envelope for June 17th, I didn't see one. I thought maybe I was getting skipped for today. But...I may have failed to mention, there are small envelopes and big envelopes, and at a glance, it looked like all the small ones were for now, and the bigger ones were marked for the days closer to the trip, because there are just a few of those. Not so! Today, I got a BIG ENVELOPE, and it contained a "prize".

Now I shall go and sharpen one of those nice Disney pencils and write something very important in my Disney notebook pertaining to our Disney trip.

Maybe I'll write the prices of some of the items at counter service restaurants, since I'm already trying to decide where I can get some quickie meals throughout the day on the cheap.

Perhaps I will write down a tentative schedule for our third full day, since I already know about our arrival day and the first two full days.

Maybe I will recheck and rewrite all the EMH parks for the mornings and evenings we will be there, just in case they've changed it since, uh, a minute ago!

Or could it be that I will write with my new Disney pencil all the numbers to all of our tickets and reservations, along with phone numbers, ADR numbers, Social Security numbers, and junior high locker combinations just in case I need them at some point along the way?

I have this fear that I'm going to get to the front desk and someone is going to tell me they have no record of my existence in the world that is Disney. At that point, I would have to pull out ALL the many records of me and prove to them that I really do belong there! Every once in a while, I'll read a thread where someone says they "got lost in the system", and with the troubles I had with the DDE, I just have this underlying fear that I might be the next unlucky lost person.

I really need to go write all this stuff down again, just in case. I'm going to have all my mounds of paperwork, but just in case we're on the road and there's a big wind and it comes and whips away all my papers into a Florida river and an alligator eats them and....

Okay, I'm going to go write something now. Maybe I'll write 500 times:

Have no fear, the trip WILL get here!

What do you think?

Here is a picture of Brooklynn and John at Donuts for Dads this morning.

So cute! They have the same eyes!

As for what you should write next, I wouldnt bother with the counter service items. Just have an idea of where you want to go, then pick something once you're there. Dont overplan! Leave a little something undone! But of course, WRITE what you will leave undone! :lmao:

If I know my mom she is only writing down the plan in detail because it gives her something to do that is related to our trip. I have seen her grand plan and it is jam packed! With her bum foot she was a little ambitious with the touring plans!

Hello i am loving your trip report. I am also having a party july and i really like your table spread. I am fixing foods from disney too. keep the report coming:thumbsup2

Good to have you along. We've really enjoyed all of our Disney get togethers. The only thing I've fixed that didn't come out right was the tiramisu, but I'll try again someday. Be sure to come back on here and show us the pictures of your party. We'd love to see them.

Jill became the foster mom of a baby bunny last night. She's been busy watching over him, along with taking care of Brooklynn and working. Maybe she can put up a picture of baby Thumper soon.
