Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

I have enjoyed reading this soooo very much!
You guys have a great writing style! Like a good book you can't put down!:goodvibes

becky AK - You will have an awesome time just watching him take it all in. Brooklynn wasn't one bit afraid of any characters, so that helped. They all were very sweet and gentle with her, and she just smiled and laughed at most of them. You should have seen her face when she was watching Beauty and the Beast. She was totally absorbed. Of course, she's very familiar with Disney music, having listened to it since before she was born!

I am so happy to hear that Brooklynn wasn't scared of the characters. I've been a little worried wondering how Hunter will react to them. I'm crossing my fingers that he likes them & will cooperate for me to take pictures of him.

I've had Hunter listening to Disney music since he was born too LOL. I've gotta raise this kid to be a Disney fan :)

I just finished reading the TR thus far and I LOVE IT! It's taken me a couple days to make it to this point and it's official...you have me. Hook, line and sinker. Although, all these Louisville shirts ARE a little upsetting...I am a UK girl, of course!

Brooklyn is too cute! What a precious little girl!

We have UK friends, too! Thanks for being forgiving enough that you're still going to read along with us. I doubt you'll see any Wildcats in this report, though. You are likely to see a Gator, however. I hope that won't stop you from enjoying our fun! Even if we pick the wrong teams, we're still fellow Disers, so we can't be all bad - right?

Oh JIIIILLLLL! When you get to work, remember we're all standing in line...

...waiting for your report on this!

wannago2disney - I love your screen name. That's what I wanna do, too! I'm trying to talk Jill into a birthday trip. Her birthday this time! We could do Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Wouldn't that be great? You can help me talk her into it, can't you?

becky_AK - You are raising him right! Keep that music going. You'll be surprised how much he recognizes it when he hears it in Disney World. Be sure to see the Cars and Stars Motor Parade. Great character interaction with the little ones with the walking characters as they passed.

2tinkerbells - It's great to have you on board. Hopefully Jill will be able to put up pictures of our morning at Chef Mickey's, followed by a front seat monorail ride and a trip to the Polynesian within the next couple of days!

And a warm welcome back to declansdad and pooksma, who are writing their own trip report. Be sure to see it, because I know there will be some great pictures from them.

Absolutely! Although I have never been myself, I have heard that once you do MNSSHP, you just can't do a regular old halloween again!

My husband and I have the next several years of Disney vacations planned out already! Any excuse to go!!

July 2007 - This year we did our middle son, Joe's 9th birthday - nothing like a never-ending birthday! He called it the Year of a Million Birthdays!

April 2008 - Adults only, just DH and I :) No specific celebration, this is just when the kids will be out of school and Grandma can watch them ;)

December 2009 - DH turns 40 so we'll celebrate that AND our first Christmas at WDW (yes, we MIGHT be crazy)

October 2010 - I turn 40 and wouldn't want to celebrate the big 4-0 anywhere else but WDW AND our first MNSSHP :)

So, see Jill - any excuse will do :)

Seeing a Gator is almost worse than seeing a U of L shirt...Gators are pretty well disliked in this part of the country...but you're right. We're fellow Disers and that makes it a-ok. Question...do any of them go to U of L or went to U of L or...just a love for red birds? :confused3

I don't need an excuse, but John does. I may just say forget him and go myself. We can eat PB & J sandwiches in the room.

Kristi plays softball for U of L so we are all fans for that reason.

We have annual passes, so the more we go, the more VALUE we get for our money. That's pretty good logic in my book! The passes are paid for, the room is being paid for...MNSSHP is calling for Brooklynn to come and join in the fun...it's your birthday, and since I got to be there on my birthday, I think you should get the same joy....I can go on. I have more, if I need to go on. It's two little days off of work for all that fun. Please, oh, please, let's do it! I (let's go) love (MNSSHP, headless horseman, costumes and candy) you, (Disney World in October) Jill! And your little girl, too!!!

P.S. -Go look at the Amazed Faces thread over on the theme parks board. You might see someone you recognize...and lots of other cute little faces, too!

Hey memom.....Of course we thought you guys were great too!!! It's too bad we just kept running into each other and not having a few hrs to sit and chat.

Tidoublegerr....yes my daughter celebrated her 8th birthday there and memom and brooklynn'smom left her a nice goody bag full of princess stuff. She was extremely happy about it, she could not understand how this happened. She then made them a Thank You Card.....lol!!!! Finally she met the nice ladies that gave her the gift.

That's a good reason!! Heck, if I was good at a sport and U of L offered me a spot, I'd play! But that's a IF I was good...:lmao:

"Oooooohhh."...I hear grim grinning ghosts calling out to Jill.

"Come, Jill," they cry in the light of day. "Come and celebrate a fabulous DISNEY birthday!"

"Come, Jill," they cry in the dark of night. "Come to a party that will give you a fright!"

Again, I have more, and you know it's true, so if you don't hurry up and say yes, I'll have to use them on you!

YAAAAYYY!!! That's kind of loud screaming you're doing, though. You might scare the ghosts away. Yah-hey-hey! Another Disney birthday! I'll book it when my kids go to Music at 11:00. You made my day!

Good afternoon, everyone! My day started out happy with the news that Jill will let me take her to Disney World for her birthday in October.

Now I'll share with you one of the reasons I need to take breaks and have a happy place like Disney World. One of my students was upset with me because I took his morning snack away. The rule is that the children may have their snacks as they finish their independent work, and they must stay in their own seats. This child was doing neither of those, and was trying to knock over the water bottle of another student. When I walked over to throw his snack out, he took his pencil and used it to stab me, with quite some force, in the chest. Had it been a knife, it would have done some damage. Had it been at a student, it would have been about eye level, and could have done damage. The student was just picked up by his father to be staying at home for several days of suspension. I was told I could press charges, but declined. Problems get increasingly worse in our schools, but we keep fighting to do everything we can to meet state and federal guidelines, which are near to impossible. Anyway, he's gone and things are calm. Hopefully, he will come back a changed man, but the sad truth is, that is highly unlikely. He will probably be in and out of trouble many times in the future. My other students will have an exciting story to tell at home tonight. And I...will look forward to my October trip to Disney World to help me remain sane! Just wanted to share with you guys. If you can, tell a teacher how much you appreciate them today.

HOLY COW!! OMG! Hoping you're okay!! Some of the situations in our schools sure are scary! I am a parent rep on our School Improvement Team - I have always had great respect for teachers and school administrators (my mom is a retired teacher/administrator), but having a behind the scenes look has given me an even deeper appreciation for all they do!

Glad you all will be able to celebrate Jill's birthday at WDW!! When is the big day anyway? My birthday's the October 13th, so I'm curious!!

Hi MeMom
I am so sorry to hear about that wild child in your class. It is really frightening for me to think that my DD is the same age:sad2: :sad1: . I cannot imagine her doing something so violent and impulsive. I am so sorry that happened to you. I know that you are a sweet & kind person and you certainly do not deserve such behavior. I hope the boy's parents backed you on this. I have several friends who are teachers and the most surprising thing I hear from them is how parents support the child's behavior but not the teacher or the discipline given. :scared: I really do not get that!

Great news on your trip in Oct. :cheer2: :cheer2: What are your dates???

I hope and pray you have a good evening!:flower3:
