Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

LegoMom3 - I hope so. He's about 20 months old and given how he was behaving when he first got here, I don't think he had much of a life with the breeder. He's a sweet tempered cat and probably deserves all the love we can give him.

Aw..... Well just love on him and in time he'll realize that a forever home is SO much better than a breeder. He probably does have a lot of love to give and was just waiting for someone to give it to.

.

PIO, how's new kitty doing?

Thanks for asking. :flower3:
He's going really well! I've been pleasantly surprised at how quickly the other two cats have accepted him into the household.

Our Bengal has been amazing. She's just under 1 year old now and she's been happy to share everything with him.

He's no longer looking for places to hide and isn't running away from us when we go give him cuddles and pats. Well....not too much.

These two cats play chase together and sleep on our bed at night.

The white DSH? Well....he's 11 years old. He tolerates the other two with a few minor hisses and growls. He eats with them in the laundry and is happy to cuddle with the Bengal. But not with the Siamese....yet.

PIO, your kitties are gorgeous! I'm happy he's fitting in so well.

It's a sad/happy day around our house. It's my birthday. Woohoo!

I'm sad because my cousin lost his fight with Alzheimer's early this morning. :littleangel: I'm waiting to hear funeral arrangements and hoping that I can rearrange my schedule to be there. If I can't get there for the funeral, I'll go up and visit with his wife and daughters as soon as I can. They live about 6 hours away.

Thank you so much. He's at peace, and that means so much. I'll pass along your condolences to my cousin's family. I'm very close to his daughters. I'm right between them, age wise.

Otherwise, I had a great birthday yesterday. I'll have my celebratory dinner on Friday. We were going to go out to dinner on Saturday night. As we were leaving church after Mass on Saturday evening, we narrowly escaped being hit by a car that came shooting out of one of the parking places. We were about halfway across the lane and boom! There she was. After that, we made one stop to order my birthday present (much needed new laptop) and headed for home, more than a bit stiff and sore. While she didn't hit either DH or me, our leap for safety gave us a few scrapes, bruises, and sore muscles. The driver stopped, asked if she'd hit us and sped off when we told her no. She didn't ask if we were OK, just if she'd hit us. Strange. :rolleyes1

Happy Monday, y'all! Four weeks from today, I'll be at WDW! :jumping1:
