Good Morning everyone! No rain here today but supposed to get a little tonight.
So our weather is clear, we are just rocking and rolling.

See turn the base down, your shaking the whole basin......

Rain is on the way, and I need to do a few errands before it arrives, which includes putting out the garbage cans. Now that is a thankless job...

So, in a 5-hr. work day today, I think I actually worked about 3-1/2 of them. S-L-O-W...... Oh well, I'm home now with a fresh cup of coffee and a cat draped over my arm (because in his eyes, Mommy's been gone just forever!.... ).

Oh, and the river is WAY up. On the other end of town it was over its banks this morning. Not threatening the road yet, but that's super high.

ROFL - it must have been those kids performing High School Musical (we had just finished seeing it at DD's school). Boy were those kids talented.

DS and I were sitting on a concrete slab wait for DD to finish chatting with her friends when it hit. We just looked at each other and said "Do you feel that?" None of the 50 or so kids all chatting away outside the theater even felt it. We kept waiting for someone to react like DS and I were, but they didn't. Teenagers, always in their own little worlds

My daughter's 2 ferrets are here and the older one is showing signs of a disease. He will need to go to the vet for a blood test. He was wobbling and lost most use of his back legs. I got him up a little while ago and thankfully he could walk. He has lost weight recently and wouldn't eat his dry ferret food so I mixed pumpkin and baby food chicken and put some in his mouth. I will feed him this way again this evening if he won't eat on his own. Poor guy. My daughter is coming back Wed.

My daughter's 2 ferrets are here and the older one is showing signs of a disease. He will need to go to the vet for a blood test. He was wobbling and lost most use of his back legs. I got him up a little while ago and thankfully he could walk. He has lost weight recently and wouldn't eat his dry ferret food so I mixed pumpkin and baby food chicken and put some in his mouth. I will feed him this way again this evening if he won't eat on his own. Poor guy. My daughter is coming back Wed.

Oh, I hope it is nothing serious. Poor little guy.

Thank you. It's most likely Insulinoma, but there are a few other possibilities. Insulinoma is tumors of the pancreas. He would produce too much insulin and mess with his blood sugar levels. He has an appt Friday. Hopefully he won't progress too quickly and can wait that long. He was walking this afternoon and I saw him drink water.

It's finally warming up (to where we should be this time of year). Now we're under a flood warning, which mostly means a couple impassable roads in this area. And the slow days at work are a mixed blessing. It makes for long days that just drag by, and the lack of work often just pushes one particular person over the edge and then it's just miserable to be there.....

It's finally warming up (to where we should be this time of year). Now we're under a flood warning, which mostly means a couple impassable roads in this area. And the slow days at work are a mixed blessing. It makes for long days that just drag by, and the lack of work often just pushes one particular person over the edge and then it's just miserable to be there.....

It was warmer here today, thankfully. We are out of oil and almost out of wood. My son cut a dead try down today, cut it to length, hauled it with a plastic sled and split it all. That helps with the wood situation. I'm sick of being cold.
