Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

Sawyer the ferret has an appt Friday.

It was warmer here today, thankfully. We are out of oil and almost out of wood. My son cut a dead try down today, cut it to length, hauled it with a plastic sled and split it all. That helps with the wood situation. I'm sick of being cold.

I am glad you have an appt for the little guy. Do they deliver oil? Or is just so darned expensive? I am sorry your cold. Get an electric blanket.

It's too expensive b/c we are also almost out of k-1 for our monitor which provides us hot water. We are getting the minimum delivery and it will be $441. We don't have another $400 plus for oil on top of the $441. Bad timing needing them both at the same time. At least I am warm at night thanks to my electric blanket. :thumbsup2 The wood stove is in the cellar so doesn't heat all of the house. It only helps warm part of it.

Gee, 'person' sounds like a joy to be around.

It comes and goes. There's definitely an anger management issue there. When it's under control, everything's good. But some days it just doesn't take much.

I totally feel your pain. We're very, very low on oil, but I still owe from the last drop and I don't have the money to pay that off in full so they can come again; plus we'd need another $200 towards another drop anyway (our minimum sounds like yours). DH has just been getting 5 gallons of diesel at a time, and that's lasting longer and longer these days (a week +). I cut the thermostat back to about 58 during the day, then up to around 64 at night. No electric blankets here but I did have fleece PJs and 4 heavy blankets on my bed all winter! TGIS[pring] is all I have to say!!!

Toast is so...day old. :rotfl2:
I think you've got something there with the cat, very cute!! I love cats. :flower3:

Yay!....another cat person!! We are currently the staff to three felines: Pippin (long hair silver tabby Scottish Fold), Pounce (short hair tiger w/white), and Sneeze (humongous short hair dark gray beast! :lmao: ). They totally rule this house.

Hi LegoMom! Thank you for sharing about your kitties, it was such fun to read about them. Your three sound just beautiful. Our beloved silver tabby persian passed away a few years ago. Lots of happy memories about him, and we look forward to the day when we have a pet again.
That is too funny that you are house staff to them. It's the truth, they do rule the house, isn't that their job?
I love your choice of cat names, very cute!! :goodvibes

...Now, before I finish posting, I guess I should put in a mention of TOAST. I don't want to be in trouble with a certain lady who seems to only wear holstein spotted dresses....and lipstick in a rather lovely shade of grass green!

.....hey TAG FAIRY.....I am STILL waitin' on that dancing toast.

Felix the cat
The wonderful, wonderful cat
Whenever he gets in a fix
He reaches into his bag of tricks

Felix the cat

The wonderful, wonderful cat
You'll laugh so much your sides will ache
Your heart will go pit-a-pat
Watching Felix...
The wonderful cat

Anyone else remember Felix?

I hope you stay warm SadieDog. That's so sucky to be out of oil and wood at the same time.

My household is staff to two cats. I love them to death but right now they could be the death of me!

Both cats are not well.....my 17.5 year old cat is very tottery and quite unsteady at times. The white cat is constipated. And it is NOT pretty here. :scared:

Sorry for your loss.... :sad1: So hard to lose a beloved pet, but they really do enrich our lives, don't they?

We love Felix! My DS12 was on a Felix cartoon kick for a while (found them on Netflix).

Aw, poor babies! I hope they come around and feel better. :wizard:

I need to search for Felix. Don't think that I'm allowed to access NetFlix from Oz. :(

Oh goody, dealing with a person with anger issues. That keeps things interesting.

My thermostat is on 53 all the time now. It's cold in here. Normally we still keep it low. 54 at night and 58 during the day for as long as I could stand it and 60 now and then like when I shower. Next year I hope to have more oil so I can keep it a little warmer. We have a few electric space heaters that help a little, but don't do much when it's real cold. We use a small one in the bathroom when we shower.

Speaking of anger issues, we are going to pick up our daughter this morning and move her back here until she can get back on her feet. She is leaving someone with anger issues and is scary. I was worried last night she was going to tell him that she was moving today and concerned of how he would react. I finally heard from her around 8:30 and knew she was safe. I told her and I told her that my dear friend also said the same thing - be smart, don't tell him the night before you leave b/c you don't know what he might do. Ugh So scary. I better get moving. I don't know if the guy is going to be there or not. We could use some positive thoughts.

Sadie, you both are in my thoughts and prayers.

Please stay warm. All these prices of oil going up. So insane. Hope the kitties get better. :grouphug:

Thanks guys.

My daughter is here. On the way to pick her up, she sent us a message to please hurry b/c he was calling her names (including the one every woman hates) and threatening to fight my husband when we got there. As soon as we arrived, he switched and acted civil. She is all moved in along with her animals. This place is a zoo. 3 dogs (including her puppy) 3 cats and 4 ferrets. He has already messaged her telling her he is sorry and loves her. Puke, gag barf. I am so hoping she is not dumb enough to go back to him for a 3rd time.

No, that is not love, that is a control freak with some major issues going on. Sending some extra prayers your way. Glad she is with you, zoo and all!!

I am so glad they are with you and safe, she really needs to not answer him. I hope she remains with you and starts all over with out that in her life.

SadieDog - I hope that things are okay with your daughter, yourself and the family. I'm thinking and praying for you all. Hope there is a final resolution and closure to this for everyone.
