You can have this heat. It is so hot and humid that I can't even take Felicity on a stroller walk around the neighborhood.

Just got back from dropping Felicity off at my Mom's for the night. This is the first time that I will be without my baby girl all night since she was born. In less then 3 hours I am going to be on my first date in ages with the Hot Grocery Store Manager. I can't wait to go and enjoy a night of local music and cocktails and some great company from a man who is also not hard to look at from across the table. It's Saturday afternoon and I've been let out to play!!!!

My Date with the Hot Grocery Guy Ben.

Let's just start off saying the date was fantastic. He picked me up at my apartment at 7 o'clock and we headed to Doherty's Irish Pub for some great Pubby Appetizers and to listen to some local live music. On our drive to the Pub we chatted and laughed. He is very funny and it was already like we were really comfortable with each other. We got to the Pub and were seated at a table. The music was going to start until 8 pm so we ordered some Mozzarella Sticks and Beers to start the night off. I ordered one of my favorite Beers Killian's Red and he ordered Guinness which is way too strong for me and would have quickly knocked me on my butt. So were drank our beer and ate our appetizer and had some great conversation. The Minstrels was the band that was playing at the Pub that evening. They are a Raleigh, North Carolina based band that play Celtic Rock Music. The Band started playing there first set of the evening and they sounded really good. We also ordered some more beer and some Soft Pretzel Bites with Cheddar Cheese to enjoy while they were playing. After the 1st set was done and we each had 3 beers in us the Pub announced the band was taking a little break and they were going to have Karaoke while they were on there break. So Ben talked me into doing a song, but I wasn't going to do it until he also performed a song. He chose the song Faithfully by Journey and although his voice wasn't as good as Steve Perry he was very good at singing the song. Now it was my turn and I chose Madonna's song Like A Virgin. Needless to say Madonna doesn't have to worry about me taking over her music career. We had several laughs at our Karaoke attempts and then sat back down to a few more beers, great conversation, and some good music. It was approaching Midnight and I was getting a wee bit toasted from the beer I was drinking so we decided to leave. At first I think he just thought he was going to drop me off back at my apartment and the date was going to end, but I asked him if he wanted to come in. He said yes and we got back to my apartment. We sat down and I opened a Bottle Merlot Red Wine and I we drank two glasses each while talking on the sofa. I asked him if he wanted to watch a movie and we checked Netflix. Well he had never seen the movie Finding Neverland which is one of my favorites so we decided to watch that. Well we started watching about 30 minutes of it and he reached over and held my hand. After that one thing led to another and we started to kiss which led into making out(sounds so high school) and that went on until pretty much the movie had ended. Needless to say he still hasn't seen Finding Neverland because we were occupied with other things.At this time it was just after 3 in the morning, but I still didn't want him to leave and I don't think he wanted to leave either so we continued to talk for a little longer until about 4 in the morning when we both decided it would be best to call it a night and get some sleep. We said our good nights, kissed a little more, and he wanted to see me again so we set up to go out to Lunch on Sunday with Felicity. He actually suggested Felicity be there to which I really thought was great because she is my life and if he wants to be a part of my life then he has to get to know Felicity too. So Sunday we are all going to lunch together and hang out. Felicity will just be hanging out because she doesn't eat anything other than my breast milk at this time. So even though we said good night I am still so hyped up from this wonderful date that I haven't gone to sleep yet. He did call me to tell me he got home safely and what a wonderful time he had tonight with me. I cannot wait to see him again on Sunday.
