Opened Facebook, e-mail and my phone this morning after being sick since Friday to find one of my YoYo sisters lost her brother over the weekend. He's been sick, and she'd just hustled up to NJ to help her sibs get him better situated.

On a happier note, my cousin the sheriff's deputy who was shot on 14 May is making a miraculous recovery. He sat in a chair two days after being shot in the head, remembered our aunt's birthday last Sunday, and is in good spirits. I know I didn't mention it here as I was swamped at work and fielding phone calls from family. Kimmar, the school system where he lives worked with his family to let his middle schooler finish the year from the hospital.

I'm ready to start planning the YoYo's trip to see Mickey in September. I'll start the PTR either this week or next week. One sister, YoYoTiana, won't be coming before our convention and going to Disney and the Park Which Shall Not Be Named. YoYoMerida, YoYoSnowWhite, YoYoElsa, YoYoRapunzel, YoYoBelle and I will be hitting the parks for three days. It's going to be fun!

Good morning nanners!!

So I have been filling in events on the calendar here and there and suddenly realized, my summer is going to whiz by...... You wait SO long for it, then you get busy (albeit doing FUN stuff, but still.....), and then *poof*! -- .

On top of that, DS13 is not only going to camp for a week, he's going to be a junior counselor for another few weeks, so I will have LOTS of driving back and forth to Vermont!!! (the ONE state in New England that PiO somehow, inexplicably, missed when she was up this way.... ). Anywho, it's a 3-hr. drive to camp, so that's a lot of driving!!! I have to take him up there this Saturday just for the day, for training, so while I look for something to do during that time, I may drive up the road to the Canadian border and wave hi. Which is all I can do since I don't have a passport.

Then on Sunday my best friend's daughter is having a [high school] graduation party.

And so it begins..........

A snapshot...from Day 1

It really was a flying visit to Sydney.





The Sydney Vivid (Light) Festival was on. This is the Sydney Town Hall.





Martin Place, Sydney. There were half a dozen of so light installations here.






We did stop to eat.....when we got to the Rocks. There were tons of people about!









The Argyle Cut is at the Rocks, Sydney (where the First Fleet settled). They were projecting images up on the roof. And yes, I did lie on my back to enjoy.
