Babies R' Us online shopping...MAJOR VENT!!

I am soooo mad right now!!! I have a baby shower to go to for a very dear friend of Sunday and no gift!!! i placed an order with babyies r us on line on 7/10 and because they are having warehouse issues, i still haven't received my order. they refuse to let me cancel it saying that once they send the order off to the warehouse (which they did on the 10th) i cannot cancel the order! i am completely steaming. I have been told by 2 different supervisors that the items were shipped, but they each told me they were shipped on different days! COME ON NOW!!! GIVE ME A BREAK PLEASE!!! i'm just going to go to a babies r us store over the weekend and buy something off of her registry! Thanks for listening! :sad2:
 
Once your item comes in can you take it to the store and get your $ back? Or just return it right back in the mail and get your $ back? Sorry, I'm not sure what their return policy is but I'd be ticked too!!! They've left you no choice but to go to the store and buy something else. Sorry you're having a frustrating morning :)
 
Can't you just give an IOU? I know it's not quite the same, but print out a picture and tell her the real present is in the mail.
 

Did you pay with a credit card?

If so just contact your credit card company and tell them you ordered the product 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it and you are disputing the charge. If they try to deliver it to you then, just refuse delivery.

Then just go out and buy a replacement gift.
 
Oh no! I'm registered at Babiesrus and I know several of my friends and family plan on buying from my registry online. I hope they don't run into these problems. I knew awhile back that Babiesrus was switching to their own website, away from Amazon and that was causing some issues.
 
BabiesRUS.com has been undergoing extensive changes for the last few months. I went to order something mid June and was given a notice that because of these new changes, orders were taking longer, etc. I chose not to order. Last I checked, the notice was still on the website. Maybe you missed it?

Make sure you give your friends and family a heads up...the warehouses are completely backed up!!! people may be better off going to the stores and buying it that way, or just order way way way in advance... :confused3

I absolutely missed that. I totally did not see that notice. now i know better!
