Awwwww C'Mon!!! 10 Days of nothing interesting with my sis and her kids w/ Pics!!!

Enjoying your report :goodvibes

You made the 6AM flight out of Newark???!!! I'm impressed!:worship:
I've looked at it often and never had the guts to try it so I'm usually on the 11AM :rotfl:

I understand why my sister does that flight, there is no traffic that early and she gets to WDW early enough to actually do something on that day if she wants to. I just don't want to wake up that early again!

great start. I think where you sit and who your server is at WCC can make a difference in your experience. Both times we ate there we wished we were one section over as those diners where having a great time with their servers antics and we had a ho hum waiter . We enjoyed the food though. Looking forward to more reviews. Gkad you had a magical trip.

I guess it was good that we weren't into the whole vibe of the restaurant and wanted to eat, otherwise, we'd have been upset being sat basically outside of the restaurant

Great reviews so far - we love the csr but are a bit scared about the new breakfasts at Maya Grill. Never had a meal that looked as good as yours did at the Pepper Market and last year we could only have pastries or cookies for dessert as ddp so the improved choice looked good too.

We loved having the Pepper Market right there...counter service with a twist! We did lunch, dinner and 1 breakfast there (unfortunately b-fast was without my camera) and enjoyed every meal, only service was a bit spotty for one lunch and one dinner. I've never been to Maya Grill, though I walked by the windows a lot and it was usually very empty, only a couple of the tables were occupied any time I was around.

Off to 1900 Park Fair! I threw in more buffets that I usually do...I had to accommodate all the picky eaters!

We arrived a bit early and were handed a buzzer and asked to wait. No problem...there's lots of shopping to be had here! Unfortunately, that shopping was cut short as the little buzzer went off after only about 4 minutes!

Before being led into the dining room, we were lined up and had our photo taken, Sis and I knew we'd have to shell out some extra cash to buy this photo later, but we were prepared for that.

So we are led through the dining room...all the way through...hey...wait...where are we going??? Oh yes...the back room...wonderful. Maybe we look destructive, maybe we look like troublemakers...so we are put into the back corner, against the rear door that puts you right next to the Grand Floridian Cafe. The hostess must have realized we were less than thrilled and tried to convince us that we had a great seat and that the characters come to our little room before they visit the tables in the main room.

We're hungry, so we sit down...well I sat down after I climbed over one chair to get to mine. I couldn't walk behind the chairs, the back of them was up against the rear wall. It felt more like a tight booth than a table with chairs.

Onto the food! I didn't take photos of the food...I don't know why...I mean, the camera was there...the characters were all around us and I only pointed it once towards the table.

Anywho...the food was okay, it's buffet after all. The kids each found something that they wanted to eat and I did notice that the kid section food ended up on Kelly, Tia and Jayden's plates! Jayden makes a beautiful plate at buffets by the way...it's all yellow. He ate a plate full of mac & cheese and corn! We were able to convince him to get a meatball, potatoes and bread with his next plate of corn and mac & cheese. :

Notice the back door:

I just realized, there is no me in this report yet! Here's a scan of the photo we bought from that night!

great reviews so far! you have a beautiful family (yourself included!) :cutie:

Great reviews! I'm also planning on doing lots of buffets when I travel with my picky eaters (DD&DS) in a week, with so much to chose from there's always something they find appealing. Not to happy to read you didn't like Yak&Yeti CS - I was looking forward to try it.....hm, maybe Flameetree will be open now.

Just found your review and I'm enjoying it so far... looking forward to the rest!

great reviews and great photos... I too love to dip my pretzel bread in the soup....my favorite meal...
Thanks for taking the time to take such awesome photos ....can hardly wait for my trip after seeing this food review

So next we went to Hollywood Studios. I am not a huge huge fan of the quick service in this park and today was no exception. It was hot, I mean not outside and when everyone was hungry for lunch, we ventured to the Commissary, let's just say that this place did not go over very well...at all! Not one of them agreed to eat anything here.

So off to Backlot, there's nothing too exciting here either. I break down and figure that I will have a hamburger because I've not had one in a while. They others follow suit. (Sorry, no photos). Jayden didn't care too much for the burger, the bun was very big and glaringly apparent that it was muti-grain, apparently horrible if you are an 8 yr old boy (or so he said).

We all finished our meals with nothing terrible (with exception of Jayden) and nothing spectacular to report. Well, except that there was a 4 - 5 year old boy at the table behind us who was screaming crying the whole time. Unfortunately, there was nowhere to move away from him and his family that did nothing to try to quiet him...and boy does this place echo! Finally, a CM came over and offered them some grapes or a drink to satisfy the boy...they ignored the poor CM completely. Literally pretended that he wasn't there at all! Well after what seemed like ages of trying to interact with the family, the CM left and the kid continued to cry and the family continued to do nothing.

Onto Cape May Cafe!

Tia had been looking forward to this since the moment we landed. She is a lover of seafood and was not going to disappoint us in the amount of food she can actually eat, her eating habits have her mother saying "sometimes I think my daughter has the stomach of a full grown man"!

Jayden was thrilled to see fried shrimp, he loves them, takes all the breading off...but loves them. The cocktail shrimp, he'll eat...but prefers to peel of breading rather than shell

So after plates and plates of crab legs, salmon, fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, seafood pot pie looking stuff, along with little buckets of clams and muscles, we were stuffed. Tia went back 5 times, excluding dessert! The crab was good and readily available (didn't have to stand and wait for it to be steamed...people didn't hog it all), the salmon was yummy and I loved the mashed potatoes, clams were good and not really sandy at all. Tia said the muscles were good but the crab was better.

We were told when we came in that we had to have this little chocolate lava cake...it was good!!! Very rich and very yummy! The blondie on this plate too...oh my goodness...the best I've had...I wanted more...but my stomach told me there was no room left!

Brownie that Tia had was not nearly as good as the blondie!

Oh, and Jayden said he liked the cookies very much and left with one in each hand! :rotfl:

All in all...Tia's favorite meal of the week and I can't argue with her too much on that one!

Ooh fried shrimp? We have not been to CMCB in a while and DH is thrilled about the crab legs but I am so happy to see fried shrimp! Nov cannot come fast enough for me!

What day of the week did you go to Cape May? I'd like to go on a day when they have fried fish and/or fried shrimp.

We visited on a Monday. The fried shrimp were very good. They we breaded and seasoned similar to the ones from Longhorn Steakhouse (although the Disney ones weren't spicy). They were actually quite good with a bit of mashed potatoes...although I love love love mashed potatoes so I am biased!

Man, I want to go back to CMC so much more now! There won't be much convincing mum with those pics, looks SO yummy! popcorn::

All this time I did not realize CMC has crab legs and fried shrimp on their buffet. Hmmmm....I may have to add this to my ADR.
