A poor little old neighbor lady had a fuzzy ugly PINK snowman stolen from her front porch last night. :(

First of all...how mean...

and second of all.......

who in their RIGHT MIND would WANT such a thing??? (besides the cute little elderly woman, that is.)

I'd love to go over and give her something fun to decorate with but I don't think I have anything tacky enough. :p

I'm serious...I think she loves those macaroni noodle trees, tissue paper wreaths (orange and purple no doubt)...and other sundry Christmas uglies.

What are some of the OOGLIEST holiday decorations that you recall seeing? (hopefully you only SAW them , not OWNED or heaven forbid PURCHASED them) LOL

Better get sticking that macaroni to the cone shape, Patti! :)

I am afraid to mention any tacky things because I just know what I think is tacky, someone else would love!!!!!! And vice-versa of course!! :p
CC

yucky pink flamingos ....you know the ones you stick in the ground.....well I kept on telling my dear sister in law that I didn't put them out cause I didn't want anyone to steal them.....then it finally hit me in the head like a ton of bricks....yaaaaaa.....put them on the front lawn......now did anyone steal those suckers.....not in your life....geesh......I feel bad for the lady with the ornament missing...

OMG...I have this vision of this pink thing.....too funny!!!

I have seen some of those macaroni ones and they happened to be ones my daughter made. However, even though she made them and I had to adore - some of them were very ugly!!!! But they had their own sorta cuteness to them. I still have them, just at the bottom of a box...she doesn't ask about them so I don't mention them! :)

Maybe I should take up a collection for this old lady...

send me ALL your noodle trees and GARLAND!

I know...painted gold and rolled in glitter it CAN be lovely. Tacky but pretty just the same.

p.s. i have TONS of tacky ornaments...i have one of a dog pooping...and WHY? i have no idea, but he hangs proudly on our tree every year. :p

Someone down the street put up a HUGE (must be 12 feet or more) inflatable Santa. He is now lying on his back with his feet in the air all deflated. Do you think someone shot him?

No offense to anyone who might have this - but I think any type of religious icon strewn across the frontyard is rather tacky. An old neighbor of mine had about 25 different baby Jesus's all over his yard - something about that didn't sit right for me. Jesus should be more subtle, imo. :teeth: Snowmen can be loud and garish, but not the baby Jesus.

ROTFLMAO!!!!

The visuals here are too much! Ya'll are gonna get me in trouble! I can't stop giggling!

Marlasmom - a big LOL came out before I could stop it...now curious co-workers want to know what's so funny when I should be doing serious work!

All right, guys. I have a tacky front yard story.

In a rather posh town I used to frequent (and my DH used to live), we would go "up the hill" to visit the beautiful homes. Well, one home always struck us as rather UNUSUAL!

This man grew orchids. Outdoors. On his front lawn. No grass. It was some sort of experiment.

It gets cold here. In order to protect these little darlings, he cut up gallon milk jugs and placed them over the plants. ALL OVER THE FRONT LAWN!

No grass.

Just plastic milk bottles.......... all over the front lawn.

Twilight zone, to say the least.

Oh Gina....good thing he didn't put light bulbs under them to keep the orchids warm!!!!! ROFL - kinda like a land mine area!!!

I am with you snoopy....a ton of Baby Jesus' in a yard is tacky!!!! One is fine....but a ton...NO WAY!!!

Oh that inflatable deflatable is cracking me up....one night last year we were going down one of the main streets here and someone had one of those on their roofs - when we went by to get to our destination it was on the roof all inflated and pretty cute...when we headed home it was deflated and laying flopped over on the roof!!!!!! It sounds like someone out for shooting those things!!!!! ROFL

Ohhhhh I would kill for a pink snowman!!! :)

Patti,
I saw a dancing pink flamingo on GMA today. It danced to Christmas music while wearing a scarf and santa cap!!

My neighbor has a big wood cut-out of santa holding baby Jesus. Now THAT is messed up!

ROTFLOL! MM we have one of the inflatable Santas in a yard near me!

The worst place here is this little old man who puts lights on EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING in his yard. There are lights in the grass and lights in the bushes and on the trees and on the fountain....I mean there isn't an inch of his yard that doesn't have lights on it.

Okay Patti.....a dog pooping ornament? Is there a story behind that one, or did you just think he was cute or WHAT????

Now my mom collects Santas and she actually has Santa sitting on the pot in the outhouse.

No flames please, but I think those spiral Christmas trees that light up are just ugly. They look like a stretched out Slinky adorned with Christmas lights. But they are quite popular around here, so I must not get them or something.
