I'm booked for CBR for Sept 29 through Oct 6...and was playing around online to see if POFQ was available...and got the message that there were NO moderate resort rooms available for my travel dates. What in the blue blazes?? In 7 yrs I've never seen that. Someone tell me they just have fewer free dining rooms available this year. Eeesh......

Keep checking. I bet your dates will open up. On the first day, my dates at Pop were not available. A few hours later, I had no problem getting 2 rooms at Pop for my dates. Others are posting they are finding if they check once in a while, that there original dates with their first choice resort opens up. People are constantly shifting resorts and changing dates. My guess is your dates will open up!

Yeah, don't even get me started on airfare this year, lol! Very sore subject in this house right now!!! Prices are ridiculous and there are 6 of us!!!!

I got some good advice from a great CM the other day! She told me to check back 2 weeks from the original day that the offer was extended to the public because if people had not put in their deposit by that point then they lose their room. Which means if they had a FD room booked it would now be available! Keep trying until then though just in case. I called probably around 10 times and it seemed to me that some CM's knew more than others and were more willing to try different things in order to get me the reservation I wanted. Things booked up VERY fast when it was just opened to Visa members so who knows maybe it did really book up that quickly? Let's just hope they continue to offer FD around that time of year (late Aug-early Oct.)!!!

I personally think they allocated fewer rooms for the discount and will take more rooms out of the "full price" inventory and add them to the "discount" inventory as they see fit. So keep checking for your dates. If you are seeing lots of availability for your dates at your preferred resort, at the rack rate, no discount, don't give up hope yet. GL all.

Rebecca I just booked pofq for tour dates. It was coming up all mods booked but I specified cbr and it gave me alternate offer of pofq riverside and gardenview. So I booked it.

I booked the Canadian free dining accidentally and just called and switched to the US free dining... POFQ 9/29-10/6.

There wasn't a diiference. I didn't want to risk having any problems when we check in since we're US residents. There was some talk on this board that if you booked the Canadian offer and didnt provide proper ID you might have to actually pay for the free dining. There's 4 of us and we updraded to the dlx plan and I didn't want to chance any extra charges if that is the case.

I think a lot of people on this board booked the offer on the Canadian version of the website. It didn't say you had to be Canadian to book the offer, but it only came up on the Canadian website. I booked this offer as well, but the lady I spoke with on the phone after booking changed it to an American code (this was before the domestic code even came out ).

I had to go to the US website in order to book the Free Dining promotion as it did not show up on the Canadian version ... thanks to the wonderful people here, I managed to get PORS Royal Guest Room River View for a week before it was all sold out ... my timing was right on the $$!

I think the rate is only good till Sept 29th ... I was looking at staying at PORS after our B2B Fantasy cruise but stuck with before since our Western Itinerary cruise commences on Sept 29th ...

I booked the FD over the phone with a CM who had a very hard time applying the code to my res. I asked her if she couldn't apply it because I was Canadian? She said there was no separate code that the promo was for the general public. After about an hour she was able to get the FD applied to my res. I wonder if I should call back to check on that?
For those who were unable to get the resorts they wanted keep checking back as it looks like they keep opening up new rooms. I checked on the website yesterday for my sister and there were no rooms avaliable at POR. I checked again today and they had rooms avaliable.

Yes, if your travel dates fall w/in the offer dates you are eligible. So, the last day your travel dates can begin is Sept 29th, for this free dining promo. I would imagine they will expand the dates into Oct as the year progresses, as they have in years past.

You should call and have an agent book it for you- it IS an online glitch that they are working on, but meanwhile you might as well get someone to book exactly what you're looking for at the mod you prefer.

I hope it's a glitch. Still nothing in mods available for Free Dining. Tons available without it, though. I'm on hold now. Fingers crossed or I'll be doing a lot of checking for the next 6 months. LOL
I have my trip booked for Sept., but my parents decided they wanted to join us, so the search is on.

ETA: POR and POFQ still coming up with an ERROR for CM to book for free dining. I'm on the phone now. She is trying to book me at another hotel and then switch us over to POR. Not working.

CM calling guest services. She said there are definitely rooms at POR with free dining available, they are just not able to see them.

if you specify cs in your search it will bring up the cabins and cbr as alternate offers but if you put cbr in for initial search or even just moderates it comes up with nothing???? I am at pofq but would like pro so we can try a roy a room so i keep checking but no pro or pofq

I think you mean Port Orleans riverside. Which you will love just as much. The food court is way larger and the pool area too and you can still go to POFQ Serpent pool!
