I just stopped in quickly after I dropped my oldest off at camp. Anyways, I found a Pirates of the Carribean Building Blocks set, complete, for $2. It still has the Disney World $19.95 pricetag on it and looks like it was only played with once!

Right next to it I found a Littlest Petshop tackle box in like-new condition with NINETEEN petshop toys inside. My youngest is going to freak out when she sees it!! It was also $2. I really love the old people who volunteer at this thrift store. They have *no clue* how much things are worth and price the great stuff at $1-$3 apiece. I literally hardly shop anywhere else for toys and kids' clothes anymore.

I love finds like that! Congrats!

Our thrift shop is sort of opposite. They frequently price things a bit higher than they're worth, then if it's there more than 60 days, it goes "half-price," then it eventually ends up in the the "back room" where they have the $2 bag days a few times a month. I consigned something there a while back, and they told me the minimum price was $1.25 for anything at all...

So I tend to have better luck at yard sales. DD got a printer-paper case full of polly pockets for $10 last weekend, and my niece got a big box of Betty Spaghetti for $3 at the same yard sale... definitely not "like-new," but still a TON of toys for a great deal.
