I've been checking the rental car sites for a 5 day rental in Oct. in FL. I was checking Dollar Car Rental and after plugging in different code combinations I was able to find an Economy car at a base rate of $95 ($19/day) and a total of $124.65 with taxes. I used promo code KISS (which is from Good Housekeeping magazine). Hope this helps others.

Did you book through dollar site directly? Or one of the other travel websites? I really appreciate your help! TIA MB

I also booked through Dollar w/same code (KISS2) in September for $88.99 a week! That was a great code. I booked mine on their website!!

Great! Glad you were able to get a good rate too :cool1: . BTW, I did book directly through Dollar also.

I used Dollar for the first time on our June trip. Using the KISS2 code, I rented a premium car for 1 week for $166, including all fees and taxes.

Make sure you sign-up for a free Dollar Express account too and link your reservation. When I was renting my car, there was a new employee being assisted by another employee. As she was explaining how to process my rental, the trainer pointed out that the computer had me as a Dollar Express member. She explained that Dollar Express members get the newest cars. In fact, I received a brand new Jeep Commander with only 17 miles on it!!! It was nice to drive a brand new car, except that it only got 11 miles per gallon!
