Avoiding the Ticket and Transportation Center :)

Is it possible? We usually stay at the B Resort but we dread the ticket and transportation center. During our last trip, we Uber'd to the Contemporary but I understand Disney put a stop to that.

Just curious if someone found a good way around. Thank you!

How can they stop anyone? Just say your going to eat at the food court. Unless they are turning everyone away if they don't have a adr.

Reports have been that the guard shack is turning away those without an ADR at Chef Mickey or the Wave. Even quick-service mobile order people have reported being denied entry. The proximity has been abused by people wanting an easy drop off and walk.

And I can understand Disney not wanting everyone to Uber to the Contemporary. But the T&T Center takes so much time in the mornings.

What about Ubering to the Grand Floridian? Once you get there you can either go upstairs and get on the monorail which is only one stop from MK or you can use the new walkway. You can technically walk to the back of the property and take a boat but I that might take more time.

The policy at the Grand Floridian shouldn't be any different than at the Contemporary.

I appreciate the replies! I think we were lucky to enjoy the flexibility in the past, but I completely understand Disney's desire to shut it down. Remember when people would park at DTD and take the buses to the parks?

Once, the line to the guard shack was so long, we just got out of the uber right on the street and walked across to the MK walkway. I imagine if the guard won't let the uber in, the uber can just turn around and you can get out right there...and you're even closer to the MK walkway!

The only way to Uber to a resort is having a dining reservation. So you can book breakfast before the parks open, or just use the TTC. Lines at the TTC have been pretty small.

Lines at TTC haven't been too bad in our recent trips, although we're never there first thing in the morning. Actually, a few weeks ago they had boats, monorail and busses running to MK.

Also, you could Uber to Disney Springs, take a resort bus to Contemporary then walk to MK from there.

We Ubered to TTC on our trip in October and it was surprisingly quick and easy. We got there around 8am for a 9am park opening, the line at the rideshare drop off area at TTC was pretty small - maybe about 50-75 groups in line when they finally opened the temperature check tent? We got through the tent and on the first monorail by 8:25 and essentially walked right into the park. I was concerned we'd be delayed there but it was pretty smooth. If you go to a resort like SSR and try to bus from there, you'd likely encounter delays due to the limited bus capacity. We chose to Uber from CBR instead of taking the bus because the bus depots trying to make rope drop for MK and AK were nuts.

FWIW, I think Disney Springs opens relatively early for breakfast service though I'm not sure how early. Regardless, bus service going from DS to a resort can be few and far between that time of morning because most things don't open at DS until 10am. OP would be better off Ubering to Disney Springs and walking to SSR to catch the MK bus, but as I mentioned above, they'd likely encounter delays there because of limited bus capacities.

I don’t think this is common tho. There’s usually a sheriff car parked out at that light. Uber drivers are not supposed to drop guests off outside the designated areas and risk getting a ticket.

Disney has busses from TTC to MK. They're much faster than waiting for the monorail or boat. I would uber to TTC and take the bus to MK. There's usually no one waiting.
We were at TTC early enough where the monorail was there waiting when we walked up the ramp so we got right on and it left maybe 2 minutes later. I think if the monorail is there waiting after you get through temp check, and there's no queue forming, then that would be the fastest. But if there's a line forming or the first monorail has already left, bus would be faster than waiting for the next one or waiting for the ferry to leave.

Oh for sure. I just mean if you get there and the monorail line is down the ramp and wrapping around, definitely get on a bus. My personal favorite is the fairy but that’s only one I don’t care about getting there in any decent amount of time.
