I'll also chime in along with everyone else that the MDR servers we've had will go out of their way to help with and fulfill any requests they can. On our last cruise they even went to one of the other MDR's for a lady at our table to get her a dish she could eat from Animators. You're paying for the service, definitely utilize them.

I took a galley tour once on the Magic and they explained how they work with the special dietary requests from the passengers. Don't feel like you are the only person making a special request, because there were many special request tickets in the galley that day. When we were on the Fantasy last, a lady at our table ate a plain baked potato each night with a bowl of grapes for dessert. The servers seemed happy to accommodate her request.
