Can someone please fill me in on which rides to avoid at Universal/IOA which spin or jerk around a lot? I don't find the website's descriptions very helpful.

As a point of reference, Star Tours is about as "intense" as my body can handle without motion sickness (and that's if I only ride it once in a day).

I'm trying to avoid getting (motion) sick while on vacation!

Thank you!

Do not ride Cat in the Hat or Men in Black. They are very spinny and jerky.
The Mummy ride is iffy.
The Simpsons ride is definitely out for you as it's much more intense than Star Wars.

Men in Black, Simpsons, Spiderman and transformers have spinning elements to them , Storm force acceletron ( tea cups)
Forbidden Journey has been known to cause motion sickness as well

I have not experienced it first hand but I've heard the spinning on Cat in the Hat is greatly reduced.

Thank you. Is the Minion ride okay? DD16 will be devastated if we have to skip that one.

It is a 3d motion simulator/theater ride..might make you nauseous. But if you can do Start tours, you may be ok.. but there is stationary seating available if need be

I get motion sick pretty easily, I can't do Star Tours, for example. I did okay on MiB since there was just some spinning at the end. Did fine on Gringott's, too. But Minions made me sick, seating in a Stationary seat. I think for Minion if you do the stationary seat, you could close you eyes a lot to decrease the visual and probably be okay.. That s probably what I'll do the next time. Shrek is fine. Twister you can stand off the moving surface, and I did that , but in retrospect, I probably could have handled that one. ET is fine. The Disaster attraction should be fine, too. Over in IOA, I've only done rides in Seuss land and flight of the Hippograff, again, all fine, though I'd probably not ride Cat in the Hat again.

Cat in the Hat doesn't spin anymore.... more like a sway! We were there last week and I didn't know they had changed it. It is very tame now, you should be ok on that one!
