Avoiding Nescafe Coffee at WDW...

I love (as in "live for") good coffee and am one of the many who mourned the replacement of the 100% Colombian Coffee with Nescafe a few years ago.

So now as we plan our August trip, my thoughts go to coffee options besides Nescafe within the World.

Here are the ones I know of...please add others:

-At Kona Cafe you can get Kona Coffee.
-At all Swan restaurants you can get Starbuck's.
-At the "new and improved" Starring Rolls Cafe in MGM you can get fresh-ground coffee that isn't Nescafe (at least I think so...can anybody confirm this?)

Are there any other places where I can avoid Nescafe? Thanks in advance.

Victoria & Alberts and Boma come to mind as well as the little coffee stand next to Kona.

There is a very good coffee stand on the Boardwalk just outside of BWV. Not sure of their brands, but they are independently owned.

During breakfast at Boma, I enjoyed a pressed pot of coffee with my breakfast. It was FABULOUS!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_4_3.gif' border=0></a>

I am following this with much interest. I will be going in Aug. and have requested a coffee pot in my AKL room and will bring ground Starbucks coffee with me just in case.

The WDW Nescafe coffee was a recent topic on the DVC board... Here's a link to the thread...

Tubbis in the Dolphin has Starbucks to go. ::MickeyMo

The coffee at the AKL is the best....Kenya AA. Served at the Mara and also sold by the pound already ground to brew in your room.

Thank goodness for Fresh and Kona Cafe. I had great coffee at both of these restaurants this past December.

How about a piece of the cardboard pizza at WDW, with a cup of the Nescafe stuff. You would think that you could get an edible pizza somewhere at WDW. If there is a decent pizza available at WDW, I haven't found it yet, but I also gave up eating pizza at Disney a few years ago.

I want to say that the Brown Derby has decent coffee. I know they have many different teas. I'll check today.

The Hilton has Starbucks to go in the litle shop in the lobby. That would be the closest to SSR.

When we were at the CG in June, the menu said 100% Colombian coffee. :D

I ordered the White Chocolate Mickey through California Grill for our anniversary dinner. I had to jump through a few hurdles to order it, but it was worth it(call CR directly). It is on the Contemp room service menu and can be delivered as your dessert at the CG. The strawberries were delicious!!:D

Thanks for the info!

We rae definitely NOT fans of the Nescafe coffee either. We are bringing our own to brew on the room. Plus we bring our own Splenda and a box of the individual flavored creamers to jazz it up.

We went to Artist Point last month. They're now serving a "special blend" in a press-pot. Our server didn't know what bean it was but it was definately not your average WDW coffee. :p

If you don't mind going outside WDW there's a great coffee shop near the Super Wal Mart in Kissimee

This is also the bane of my WDW vacation.

I emailed myself this thread so I can bump it up in October if necessary, so I can print out all the responses!

On our last trip in 2002, I printed out a similar thread and used it to find decent coffee!

We're complete coffee addicts and a lousy cup of coffee in the morning really sets a bad tone for the day!

Does anyone know if they've replace that revolting "butterine" yet with real butter??

The press pot at Boma's is absolutely #1 with V&A a close second.
