No matter how you slice it, the post was offensive.

Please insert the ethnic term of your choice into this paraphrase:

I don't want to offend anybody, but my kids aren't aware that (ethnic group) exists. So, please tell me when to go so my kids won't see any (ethnic group.) That way, they won't be confused because in their little worlds, we have effectively blocked all contact with (ethnic group.)

Please don't be offended, I don't have anything against (ethnic group.)

Kinda reminds one of apartheid, doesn't it?

Wow! We must have read two different post because I don't think that is what the Op said:confused3

I highly doubt gay parents would take their children to a vacation spot if they know there is going to be an anti-gay rally there the same day.

Parents don't keep their children away from gay days to prevent exposure. As has already been pointed out here, children are going to find out one way or another. I think a lot of parents avoid gay days because its contradictory to teach heterosexuality at home and then go to Disney and see homosexuality "endorsed" by seeing it in public at a family place.

gay day at disneyland is hardly an "anti-straight" rally so your argument doesn't really make much sense to me. Nor is it in anyway "endorsing" a certain lifestyle (notice I said lifestyle, not lifestyle "choice." we don't choose our sexual orientation. at least i didn't. did you?)

Since this board is really for Disneyland Planning, I'm going to lock this discussion. If you would like to start a new thread, please post it on the Community board.

Thanks,
