Avoid Presidents Day? - Noticed 9 crowd level at DL is a lot less busy than a WDW 9

I was looking at President's day on Touring Plans, and trying to decide if we should avoid DL that day and go to Legoland...when I noticed that the predicted wait times aren't all that bad. Is WDW really just that much busier than DL?

I should mention that I really don't follow Touring Plans...MUCH more of an EasyWDW kind of girl, but Josh doesn't do DL.

Should I head to Legoland on President's Day? I realize that the locals are out of school too, so most touristy things will be busy that day.

REALLY trying to decide if I should do 3 days at DL/DCA, using the CA resident discount (going with CA BFF with AP) or just spend more and get 5 day hopper, and taking a more casual approach to touring. The 5 day scenario includes going on President's Day.

We did a longer trip last year around Presidents' Day. It was very crowded the whole week so it was nice to be able to just go to the pool or small attractions instead. I would guess Legoland would be crowded as well and those lines are just painful all around. I'd suggest the 5 day pass approach.

I think wait times at WDW are typically longer because their parks have fewer attractions than DL and DCA do.

We went during that time about 8-9 years ago and it was very, very busy! We were not expecting that at all and were quite disappointed at how busy it was lol

I would avoid DL on a 9 level crowd day. Instead I would rope drop DCA, leave when it starts to get busy and head back to the hotel. Do a WOC or Fantasmic! lunch and come back in the evening for the show. You will still need to come back early to get in line for WOC (especially), but you'll be well rested and can stay and close down the park(s) after.
