Avoid or Go to EMH Parks?

We'll be at WDW the week before Easter, staying on property. Should we go to the park that has EMH or avoid the EMH park on EMH day?

I always pick an opposite park and so far it has worked out great.

We ususally start out at the EMH and leave around lunch time. After lunch we go to a park that doesn't have the EMH for that day.

i always go to the morning emh park. you get a ton done in that first hour. as for pm emh, if the keds are up for it, we hit it. pm emh is quite a bit more crowded, and you get about the same amount done as you can in the one hour am emh.

We try to take advantage of the morning EMH parks as often as possible. Yu can get a lot done before the parks get crowded. It is one of the great advantages to staying on site. Of course we don't always feel like getting up at 6 am or earlier when on vacation, so we don't do it every morning. If we miss the morning EMH, then we go to a park that does not have the EMH. We will be there Easter week, so taking advantage of the early mornings will be very important to us.

I used to think EMH was great. No longer. We were there in October and hit MK on an EMH day. The first two hours were fabulous then, gridlock. It was so bad we left early and did not go back. I could not imagine and EMH park on a busy day.

it really helps if you have park hopper, then you go to the EMH park during EMH, and spend the rest of the day in another park (whether it's before or after).

I agree with all that said to go to EMH for 2-3 hours in the morning and then hop to another park. We were there for a week in Feb. and did this most every day. We were able to get on so many rides, even in the MK, during those hours then we'd leave to hit another park. So if you can hop :yay: I'd definitely go to EMH. No matter what you decide, you're in Disney and will have a great time. Enjoy!!

You will get many opinions on this. We avoid the park with the morning EMH. We go to the MK when it has it's evening EMH and enjoy it very much. There is nothing like the MK all lit up at night.

I think that's the key, to go to EMH mornings when it's just the resort people, and be prepared to leave after a couple of hours when it's resort and general public.

I've been reading all the EMH posts, trying to get the reasoning behind to go or not to go. It's been driving me crazy.

I think of it like this: on a regular opening morning, you have a mixed crowd waiting to get in. On EMH morning, you have only resort guests, but that might bring out a ton of resort guests reasoning that it'll be less crowded with no public.
I do wonder if resort guests mostly go to morning or night EMH. Do they tend to rather wake up extra early or stay up extra late? I tend to think most people would rather get up early to make the opening/EMH than have a long day at the parks and then come back for evening EMH. I know there were a couple of times when we planned on doing the evening extra hours, but then said forget about it, we're too tired.

I want to make my ADRs, and so I want to plan the parks most accurately.

I guess I'll keep reading.

Our family loves early entry morning, but we do not spend the whole day at that park. We get there as soon as the park opens and we are always gone by lunch. We visit a different park that night. I really feel that we ride more in that first 2 hours than any other time of the day. If you have a Dumbo freak (I do), then the early entry is wonderful.
