Avis rental car at Orlando International Airport

The last couple of times my family & I rented from Avis Rental Car at Orlando International Airport (MCO), we got to choose what type of rental car we wanted in the category we selected. When we rent from Tampa International Airport (TPA) they tell us that our car is parked in space 175 as an example, so there we don't get to choose the type of car we want for the category we have selected. Anyway I was just wondering does Avis still use this process when renting from Orlando International Airport.

The last two trips we rented from Avis, Nov 2005 and Jan 2006 and our car was already assigned to us. We went right out to the garage and then they handed us our key told us the parking spot and we were off.

Maybe they have changed it. The last time we rented from Avis in Orlando International Airport was December 2004. We plan on renting from them again this December, so my family & I will have to wait & see how things are done.

I rent from Avis at least 2x a month at MCO the last 12 months. Your car is always assigned to you. I walk acroos the street and go to the Avis kiosk and they hand me my keys, and say what number parking spot to find my car.
