Avion to Esso to HBC to Airmiles.........you've got me on a mission!!!

Edited to write - Ignore the title of my thread. Some idiot at RBC told me that I could do this and he obviously was wrong! Thanks to everyone on this thread I checked the HBC fine print and the points to airmiles must actually be earned in their stores!

So much for my mission!

Do you really get good value for the original points when you do this? Or was the intention to get as many airmiles as possible? I've traded over Hbc for airmiles myself when I've needed to top up my airmiles for something -and I never use my hbc for anything else anyways - but I wonder if I'm really getting good value for them.
Remember you only need to get the basic 5 day child tickets (for yourself and your hubby too) with your airmiles then pay the difference to top them up when you get there. More tickets for less money this way! And yes, I've done the math on this one!

A few months back I took my Esso Extra points, transferred them to HBC points then tried to change them to airmiles points but The Bay website wouldn't let me. Finally went to the store and mentioned the problem. Was told that "Esso now prevents you from converting your Esso points to airmiles via HBC". To this still still haven't gotten the airmiles equivelent.

I transferred Esso to HBC and it stopped there. I was unable to transfer the points from Esso to airmiles via HBC! Boy, was I ticked. I had tons of ESSO points and transferred them for nothing cause I don't use HBC points for anything other then airmiles.
