We were on the dining plan last time we went so I wasn't paying attention to any prices. This year we're going out of pocket so I'm trying to get an estimate of what we're going to spend on food. What would you say would be the average cost of a quick service meal for a family of four (two adults, two kids.)
Assume our normal order will be two burgers with fries and a drink for the big kids and the PB&J meal for the kids. No desserts unless they're included. Thanks!

You can take a look at allears.com for menus and specific prices. I would roughly guess $9-12 for adult meal and around $5-6 for kids meal.

I budget $30-35 per meal for four. A few places, such as Sunshine Seasons, Wolfgang Puck Express, and Tangierine Cafe are a little more expensive, but on the whole we average out to $32.

EXACTLY as the PP wrote. I sat down with the menus and estimated a QS lunch at a few different places (including tax) for the four of us and came up with between $30-35, usually around $33.

our family of 4 - $30-35; we usually just drink our own drinks we carry with us.

I just got back two weeks ago and with tip I would budget 40.. U might have a few dollars back but 40. is more like it. ohhh cs no tipping 35 is good. lol

Since food is so expensive, sometimes we would eat a big breakfast at the resort before leaving, and order a double cheesburger for lunch and just buy an extra bun.... you get two cheesburgers and it saves money

We plan 35.00 for CS meals for 4.

Another 35.00 for snacks/drinks thru the day (except I add another 15.00 or 20.00 for Epcot - adult beverages ya know. :rotfl:)

We normally bring food for breakfast and eat in our room. And dinner I gave up trying to budget since it varies so much when we do TS.

We find with two adults/two teenagers, we never get out of a QS place for less than $50.

I would budget around $50 for each meal. That may be a little high, but I'd rather over-budget then under-budget.

Fortunately ours are 6 & 7 and don't eat very much. We were able to order one kids meal and split it between the two of them last year. I'm dreading the teenage years. :)

are you staying onsite? I would look at the quick service dining plan (we did it last yr & doing it this yr -- love it!) I think it's about $32 an adult & $10 for a child (3-9), that adds up to $84 a night. You get 2 QS meals per person per night, 2 snacks per person per night & a resort refillable mug per person. If you are budgeting $35 per meal --and about $3 person for a snack, it's like getting an extra snack (not to mention the mug) for free :goodvibes
