Avengers Endgame Spoilers

Liked it. A bit on the predictable side with the deaths and it was sprinkled with a few cheesy moments.

Loki taking the tesseract is just that. He always took the tesseract every time it fell out of his hands.

Capt. Marvel to me came off as mad. Her movie prior was about protecting innocents and doing what’s right. Then half the universe was wiped including her only Earth connection of Fury who she told only use the pager in an emergency.

Loved the moment between Tony & Howard. It was the goodbye Tony was always longing to have with his father.

Capt staying behind made sense and tied everything up in a pretty bow. Tony made a comment in the first Avengers that “This is the guy my dad always raved about?”

Man I loved the small interactions we had between Tony and Rocket. Also that POV from Nebula/Rhodey when Quill is singing.

The her of the movie was kind of Ant Man (or the rat who triggered his return LOL) but it was Ant Man who gave them the idea of time travel through the Quantum Realm.

But if capt marvel didn’t save Tony there would be no time travel. So really she is the hero of the movie. Lol. She could have been a big help. But they chose to only put her in a few scenes and I get why This was for the sendoff of original guys.

Plus she came back at a good time to distract the fire from enemy space ships which was causing major damage.

Nah...Even with Tony back, without Ant Man's Quantum Realm stuff there is no time travel and no saving the world LOL.

True. Well if no quantum realm stuff at least the Hudson River was clean. Capt America was juiced on the whales.

Yes, but when they went back in time to get the stones, Tony's botched attempt ended up allowing Loki to disappear with the tesseract. So there's no telling where he got to once he disappeared with it...
My bad, maybe that will be explored on the Disney Plus app.

I really enjoyed the movie, but did not care for the end. Did Cap just go back to 1945 and stay there and live out his life ignoring everything that came after. That seems so out of character to me.
I disagree. Cap grew as a character through these 11 years. While service was always important to him, deep down he wanted to fight in the war, then go home. He never, ever got over Peggy. Every character grew and changed, especially Tony. Cap grew in a lot of ways, except one: Peggy. So, after losing Tony and Nat but saving the universe, he decided, for once, to be selfish. He did his job, he served his country, he saved the universe. Now he got to retire. Just like he wanted to have that dance after he stopped Red Skull.

I thought it was a great ending to a long series. I always saw the Infinity Saga as Tony and Cap's stories, and it was appropriate it ended the way it did for both characters. It was a lot of fun, and probably my favorite MCU movie. But there are three big problems for me:

1. So there are multiple timelines now, right? Banner said there wouldn't be, but there are. There is the "main timeline" as we see in the movies, there is the "Loki escaped with the Tesseract in 2012" timeline, and there's the "2014 Thanos is dead" timeline.
2. Bringing people back after 5 years doesn't happen without consequences. What about the people that moved on in that time? Some people in the universe must have gotten remarried, right?
3. Coming back after 5 years unaged -- how does that affect everything else? Like, were all of Peter's classmates Snapped? MJ and Ned and Flash aren't 5 years older than Peter now?

And what about the people who died after the snap due to snap-induced plane crashes/car crashes/etc? Or suicides after people lost their whole families in the snap? Those people just have to stay dead?

Yes, I know the answer will be in Disney+ :p

No, I don’t believe there are multiple timelines; there are multiple realities. However, I’m still trying to process, since the movie took us for a science ride, lol.

The scene between The Ancient One and Hulk explained there being one main timeline, but the removal of one stone from the timeline created a branch reality. Therefore, Capt America was able to experience both being frozen and growing old with Peggy. Regarding Loki, he’s clever, and understood how it worked. I know for sure he’s removed the tesseract twice from the main timeline - Avengers 1 and Thor Ragnarok. Then, oops, again in this movie. That wasn’t supposed to happen.

Again, I’m still processing...

I watched these from the beginning with Iron Man and Endgame tied a nice little bow that I've been heavily invested in since 2008.

The final battle/3rd act of the movie was epic.

And as soon as Thanos was trying to kill Thor, I started shaking my wife's hands saying, "It's happening!!!" even before Mjolnir started to rise.

Easily top 2 or 3 for the MCU and probably for me Top 3 for the genre.

We all wanted to turn around and go right back in for a second viewing. Talked about it nonstop on the way home and through dinner. It took awhile for me to “come down.” As DS would say, “Ten out of Ten. Epic.”

These movies have been a journey for me. Honestly would never have thought to watch them if DS hadn’t been captivated by Iron Man around age 5. We cried together at the end when he died. Well, DS says “his eyes watered and kind of leaked.” (He’s 13 now, so you know...)

I keep thinking I have favorite parts but really it’s hard for me to choose one. Fat and drunk Thor definitely tops the list though, lol.
