Steven and I went and saw Avatar yesterday afternoon in 3D. What Star Wars did to change movies in the 70's, this movie will do as well. James Cameron has changed how movies will be done. We found it one of the most beautiful, moving and amazing movies we've seen. Sure, there's some cheesy lines, kind of an expected outcome, etc, but it didn't matter. The 3D aspects of this movie were amazing. Not over the top. You felt engrossed in the movie even more and after about 20 minutes into it, didn't even realize you had glasses on and watching a 3D movie.

Don't miss this one and try to see it in 3D if you can.

This WILL be the one we see during our christmas holiday. Def a date movie!! thanks for the review! :thumbsup2

Thanks! My DH wants to go and see it. I am glad the reviews so far are good! :thumbsup2

OMIGOSH! This was SUCH an excellent movie. Took me to a place I would never have been able to imagine on my own. (Ethernet port on my horse?!?!? :lmao: would TOTALLY love it! Maybe then, we'd go more places where I want to go rather than where she wants to go...)

I was talking to one of my Navajo buddies about the movie yesterday and neither of us thought it was going to end the way it did. Sadly, we were both kinda expecting more of a downer ending.

Definitely presented thought-provoking messages on a number of important issues.:)

Great flick! My only issue is that the subtitles when the blue guys were talking were in cryllic on the version I was watching, and I dont speak Russian ;)

I'm actually glad it ended with a happy ending. I know the movie could have taken an ending with a direct comparision to how we as a government and culture have treated the American Indian's, but I was glad to see a happier outcome (if things could have happen differently) rather then a retelling of history.
