Hello everyone -

My wife will be 2 months postpartum and we have a fast pass for Flight of Passage. Currently, her back is still sore so she's nervous about any thrill rides. I've seen pictures of the FoP ride vehicle and I understand there's some range of movement. Has anyone with a sore back ridden this ride? I'd hate to sign her up for anything that would aggravate her back!

Thanks!

I would say she is probably fine to ride FoP. There isn't any jerking motions, mostly just slightly changing the angle at which you're seating. I'd say go for it!

I have back issues, but pretty much ride everything. That's because I'm stubborn though.

For FOP, the ride motion itself if actually pretty tame. It moves a bit less than something like Star Tours, but is smoother. The trick however may be just sitting in that position for the duration of the ride. You sit on it with your knees forward, and then lean over like on a bike. There is a back brace that locks in behind you so once in position you are stuck that way until the restraints release at the end. That could be an uncomfortable position for some. That said, it's not really that bad, but your mileage may vary. It's definitely unusual seating.

I've got a couple of bad disc's in my lower back, numb foot, etc. Just got back on Sunday and had no problem with FOP. I actually rode ever coaster and did MS on the orange side. EE was the only one I actually had trouble on but that was from sliding side to side in the seat.
