Availability went way up last day of the month, less than 30 days. Normal?

Last minute I decided I wanted to add a day to my Aulani stay so I have been stalking the site for the last 10 days and nothing. It's less than 30 days out so I figured slim chance anyone will cancel under 30 days. Well today, the last day of the month, I looked and a bunch of availability has shown up across multiple room types. Is this normal? Is it people cancelling or is this Disney providing more availability?

Just curious, and trying to learn the in and outs of bookings.

It might be Disney releasing rooms they haven't been able to book for cash. Like someone trying to rent a confirmed booking and then canceling it when it doesn't rent by 31 days out.
