First let me say that I do love my family deeply, but sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out. We are traveling to Atlantis in June (nights we have to use because we prepurchased and my family bailed on me). We are very much looking forward to that trip. When I went to purchase airfare, it cost the same amount to go to Nassau and back as it would to stop in WDW for a few days. Well, that was a no brainer for me. We successfully booked five nights at BWV in a studio.

Aside: I guess I need to give a little history. My father and brother were supposed to go to Atlantis with us last time. I had a great offer from Harbourside (the timeshare there) to stay at Atlantis at a very great rate, but it had to be prepaid. I booked everything and prepaid, and they bailed. My father has had some very serious health issues in the past year, so feel that our time together is precious.

Anyway, long after we booked this trip, my father said he wanted to go too. He didn't think he could make it to Atlantis but wanted to go to Disney with us. He also really likes OKW. So...I booked a 2BR at OKW with him paying cash for the Fri and Sat. I JUST cancelled our studio at BWV last week. Yesterday, he told me he may not go. :scared1: I certainly don't need such a large space for just me and my two children (DD6 and DD9).

By the time he told me, MS was closed. Does anyone know about studios being available Jun 21-27? Any advice??

You can try for the waitlist - I am waitlisted everywhere for a studio during that time.

The only thing that was available was a 1 bedroom at Saratoga.

I am waitlisted for the 24-27 and have a studio at Saratoga the 20 & 21. We are offsite for the weekend.

Good Luck - Hopefully something will work out for you.

I was also only able to get a 1 bed at SSR for those dates (Jun 25-28) because there where no studios available. The only one bedrooms I was told were at SSR. I have decided not to waitlist though. Good luck.

I booked a two bedroom at OKW about 2 months ago, and needed to waitlist about 4 nights (same time frame) at that time they told me the only open DVC with any rooms at all was SSR. It took about one month for all the wait list nights to come through. Sadly, I do not think at this point you will get a studio anyplace excet SSR and I do wish you much luck and Pixie Dust with just that.

Aaah, the joys of trying to plan a family vacation. I think it's some sort of "rite of passage" for dvc'ers. All you can do is possible go on the waitlist and keep your fingers crossed.
