Availability in early November?

I am tentatively planning a surprise long weekend trip for my soon to be 4yo DD. I was thinking Nov 7-10. According to the availability forum...there are no studios available for that weekend?

Any chance of getting something through a waitlist?

I plan to call MS first thing in the AM to check on availability.

I am open to any resort.

I tried to schedule an early Nov trip and didn't have much luck a few days ago. I ended up with a S-Th ressie in an okw studio the week before thanksgiving. I just cancelled it, however. The cm was very good about checking availability at the resorts. I'm sure you'll find something, but you'll need to be extremely flexible with dates/resorts. GOOD LUCK!!!

I don't think your chances are very good - your dates conflict with "Jersey Week" (11/1/08-11/9/08).

Since the NJ schools are not in session on 11/6 & 11/7, many NJ families take the whole week off and travel to WDW. So it's a more difficult time to get DVC reservations and we have been hearing about waitlists for that week for some time.

But I think it's worth a waitlist try if you don't have to commit to non-refundable airfare or have a cash back up reservation.

We always travel that week and switch our 11 month reservations to BWV or BCV right at the 7 month window. Even doing that we usually have to waitlist for the majority of the stay. We also found the crowds at that last weekend very heavy in the parks. It calms right down on the Monday/Tuesday, though.
