Availability in Early June

We are going to Disney next year. End of May/Early June. My DH knows someone who has DVC Points that we can rent from. He owns at Wilderness Lodge. Since we are from Minnesota, this resort does not excite me. We have lodges all over the place. We have stayed at BWV and AKV before and really liked them. I really want to stay at BCV because I really like the themeing and the closeness to Epcot/DHS.

So, does BCV usually book up at the 7th month mark for June dates. We would be looking at a Studio. Don't want to get my hopes up if it probably won't happen. Would stay at AKV or BWV again but also been looking at OKW...

We haven't had luck booking BCV at 7 months but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Since you are considering OKW, I would suggest that you stay there. It really is a nice resort and as an added bonus it requires less points than the others You likley wouldn't have much trouble at all getting a studio there in early June.

Thanks. That's kind of what I thought. I could try and find someone who owns at BCV but I think this guy is going to give us a pretty good deal on this so keeping all my options open. Never really thought of OKW before then started doing some research yesterday and looks like a a beatiful resort. Very big though. My kids would love the pool and basketball courts. Seems very tropical (which is what I'm going for). Just hard to give up the convenience of walking to Epcot and boating to DHS.

It is almost 100% guaranteed that you can get a studio at BWV at 7 months (maybe even a standard or BW view studio), so maybe you could book BWV to be close to Epcot and DHS and then waitlist BCV.

While I agree that it is highly probable that you can get a studio at BWV in early June at seven months, IMHO, don't expect it to be a standard (lower points). The Availabilty threads, for June 2011 and June 2012 indicate that a "standard studio" was not available for most of those early dates:

6/2-6/8 2012 no standard studios
6/5-6/11 2011 no standard studios

Keep in mind that all un-available dates may not have been reported, so the chances of getting a "standard studio" does not appear to be likely. Very few dates; however, were reported un-available for garden/preferred view or BW view.

You should have some chance at BCV but important to try exactly 7 months out from date of arrival and preferably do it on-line at 8 a.m., the first time it can be done; waiting until 9 a.m. to call when the phone lines open can sometimes be too late. You would most certainly be able to get BWV pool/garden view; low chance for standard and boardwalk view. You would also have a high chance of getting lakeview at BLT and possibly even theme park view but unlikely to get standard view. You will also most likely find savanna and standard view open at AKV but not value or concierge.
