I am making plans for our February Vacation and thought it might be helpful to someone if I posted what MS just told me about availability. This was for 2/14-2/19 and a 1 Bedroom.

Beach Club Villas had NO availability
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort (limited availability)
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House (available)
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village (limited availability)
Disney's BoardWalk Villas (available)
Disney's Old Key West Resort (available)
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (available)
The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (limited availability)

I also reported this to the Resort Availability board but I thought that it might be helpful to post it on here as well.

We were trying for BCV and now are trying for BWV. We are trying for a split stay (for the first time:thumbsup2) with SSR:lovestruc. I will post on BWV when I speak with MS.:thumbsup2

What does MS mean by "limited availability?" Is it for the view (Lake View, MK, or Standard at BLT), or is it for the individual days during your proposed trip?

Good luck on getting what you want!

He meant that there were less units available in general during the time I was checking.:thumbsup2

My husband is a teacher in NY and president's week is winter break.... as a result we always make our ressie's 11 months out and book flights they first day they become available... other wise it is too hard to get a room and too expensive to fly... It is a very popular week for vacation for NY dvc members...

Yup, we live in NY (Long Island) and we go every February during President's Week. We always stay at SSR (our home resort) and book 11 months out but this time, we thought that we would try something a little different.:thumbsup2

Well, we decided to try our whole stay at BWV if we could get it and we did! We are staying 2/14-2/23 at BWV Standard View. Can't wait:goodvibes:thumbsup2:cool1:

Well.....I too am a teacher in Upstate NY and this year we lost most of our Feb. break (we get Mon & Tues) because school doesn't start until Sept. 9th. Labor day is as late as it could possibly get, and to make up for the days, we lost part of our Feb. break. We have ALWAYS traveled during this week!

However, we never have trouble getting exactly the resort (VWL) we want as long as we book withing 6-7 months of travel. The past couple of years, I've been able to get 2 villas (one for us and one for my parents) at the same resort with no problem.

We are lucky here in NH in that our Feb. vacation and April too are the weeks just after the really busy weeks for most of the country. We called MS yesterday and were able to get a 2bd at BCV for the Fri and Sat at the tail end of President's Week and were told that there was good availability.

That stinks that you miss out on a vacation week. Up here we always start a couple of days before Labor Day and have an extra long weekend for the holiday. Because of the ice storm last year, they were talking about getting rid of one of the vacation weeks. I hope that doesn't happen.
