Availability at Aulani 2 months out? Looking to go in October 2019.

Hello all,

I am currently in the midst of closing a resale contract to become a 200 point DVC member. If the timeline estimates are correct, I should hopefully have my points in my account around August 1, 2019. I was planning to take a trip to Oahu this October (probably October 12-19) and am curious what my chances of using my new points to get a 1 bedroom there would be only 2 months prior to booking.

I won't be completely heartbroken if it isn't likely, but I want to mentally prepare myself for the outcome if it isn't likely to get a room that close to the travel date.

According to the Predicted Booking Trends thread, a ocean view studio is spotty during those dates. I'm hoping that the 1 bedrooms are a little more available.

That does include a holiday weekend, so maybe not. Most likely would be Ocean View.

The Hawaii Public Schools have their Fall Break from Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11, 2019. That week is a popular week for locals to do staycations at resorts like Aulani, so demand might be higher than normal for that week and the two weekends before and after that week.

Every year the Hawaii Public Schools have a Fall Break and its usually the first week in October.

You guys are awesome! I do have some flexibility, so if there are openings in December or November, we can adjust our dates. The Fall Break information is great to know though in the future. October is my favorite time to go to Hawaii because the rates tend to be lower and the weather is cooler. I may have to adjust that a bit being a DVC member
