Availability at 7 month window at Grand Californian

We own at BLT and will be making our first trip to Disneyland next August. We would like to stay 2-3 nights at the Grand Californian. What are the chances at the 7 month window that we would be able to book a Deluxe Studio? 1-bedroom villa? Do we have a chance?

I have a reservation for a 1 bedroom Sunday to Wednesday nights next week, booked at 7 months. D23 follows on the weekend, so this year was probably harder than next year.

we did grand californian for october at 7 months. wanted a studio for the points but the 1st day was not available. one bedroom was open so we picked it up.

For Aug 2015, studios were often gone 7 months out with a little better chance last half of month to get 2 nights in a row, while 1BRs were usually open.

We were able to snag 5 days in a studio, on presidents day/week in 2014 @ 7 months out..

Ended up being the 6th floor with a DCA view . best studio imho too.

I did fine booking 1 BR at VGF over the summer. ('13 and '14...but only went in '14) Just plan on logging on at the opening of your 7mo window

Due to high points and shorter trips, studios are in higher demand, and are more problematic.
