Auuuuuuggggggghhhh....AP Score just came *and*

Good luck to all! I remember how stressful that was! I took AP US History...I got a 3 on the exam, it was quite possibly the hardest class I ever took...and I didn't get any credit for it! Took it my junior year and the college I chose hardly took any AP credits...only in math, and I didn't start HS high enough!! My Senior year of HS I slacked and didn't take any AP classes, it was glorious :rotfl:

For my college acceptance letter (I applied early admission...so I only had to deal with one letter, thank GOODNESS!) the letter slipped up to the window so my Mom saw the "Congradulations!" part...she shimmied it down so I couldn't see it and hid it under the rest of the day's mail until I came home. Then casually mentioned I got mail...she's sneaky :lmao:

For college, you can typically assume the "fat envelope" or the "large envelope" is an acceptance...but I was always so anxious to see how much merit aid the school offered my son.

Note, however, that the acceptance from Son's second favorite school was a one page letter in a plain white envelope. It scared me.

Let me just say DD is very very very very very happy :thumbsup2.

I waited until we got home and didn't even mention anything about it in the car , held up the envelope when she walked in from the car and she said "I just *knew* it was coming today."

It was excruciating standing there, waiting for her to (rip into/struggle with and *finally*) open that envelope.

I was going to reply to onelilspark with my story, but with my university, the "congrats" was just a tiny little envelope. Since I'd only applied there I nearly fainted. Once you sent in the "OK" letter, then they sent you the fat envelope.

I did say "very very very very very" happy, didn't I? DIS'ers are a smart lot, you-all can add can't you :cool2:?

She is over the moon and deserves it. This past year was hellacious in many ways and I am THRILLED beyond measure that the school-year has ended on such a high note.

For some reason I had this thought...agnes wouldn't do that to us, there has to be a hint in that post...and I still didn't get it! :rotfl:

Agnes you are a brat;)

Yep, you'll be needing to visit college confidential! Come on over - it's very informative and educational. I've seen missypie there, but I use a different screen name for that site.

Me too! And that is where I get all my college info to impress my friends! We're another family that paid to get the AP results early.

My son got a 5 in AP World History as well. He got a B in the class though. He kept his A in AP Chem, but only got a 3 on the exam.

That's great! She deserves to be super-proud!
I hope she eventually gets college credits for it!
