I keep hearing about autograph books - I realize they are for the characters to sign, but where do you get them? Is there a thread on this somewhere?

Also - do most of you dress your daughter in a princess dress for the character dining? We have a PS at PSB and for 1900 Park Fare dinner.

Thanks!

You can buy the autograph books/pens anywhere. They are at all the gift shops and most of the kiosks.

We did the autograph book the first time. The last two trips we have used blank 4 x 6 index cards with a little clipboard. We did this so that when we came home we took the signed cards together with the kids' picture of them with the character and scrapbooked them together. I have seem some really creative ideas on this board regarding autographs.

We did not dress up our princesses for the breakfasts, however, there were a lot of little kids dressed up. Mostly the younger kids (3-5). We didn't do it becuase they wouldn't stay dressed all day in it and we didn't want to have to lug it around all day.

Have a great trip.

Myn kids (ages 3 and 5) loved the autograph books. I did not want to do them because we had to stand in line a lot waiting for the characters. My kids look at them still and they love them. I am very happy that we did it. We also did the passports at Epcot. That was a mistake it was too old for them.

We bought an autograph book in the park for the kids and this will be its third trip. Since we don't spend a lot of time collecting autographs, we still have plenty of pages. Although you can find a notebook or something else to use as well (Disney books run about $7(?)).

Dressing....those princess dresses are rather itchy for a long hot day in the parks and we don't really want to change our daughter. This year - maybe. We will see. But plenty of people do - either changing their kids after breakfast, or having them spend the day in costume. My daughter did wear her princess dress on the cruise where changing isn't a big deal. And she wore her Minnie dress to the Ohana breakfast, but the Minnie dress is much more "wearable"

My DD2 wore her princess dress for our CRT breakfast in February. I let her wear it and she decided when she was ready to take it off. I just pulled her shorts up underneath and slipped it off over her head and slipped her shirt on in the bathroom. It was really easy to fold up and stick in our bag. She had so much fun!! The couple days leading up to the breakfast she kept pointing out all the little girls dressed up as the different princesses so I think it was a real treat for her. Everywhere we went everyone addressed her as princess and the characters gave her extra attention and a couple even bowed to her. We had a great time, hope you do too!!!

The autograph books were one of the best things we did with DDs 3 and 6. I got two books in the scrapbook section of our local discount store for $5 each. They were large enough to put a photograph opposite the autograph, which makes them much more enjoyable for the girls, especially since they can't read all of the autographs.

DD6 wore her lightweight Cinderella dress to the breakfast but didn't get that much extra attention- their t-shirts with all the princesses on them got just as many comments and were wearable all day.
