Does anyone know where I could find Disney Autograph books.. preferably with a princess on it? I figured they'd be cheaper if bought ahead of time instead of in the park.

Thanks!

Sorry can't really help you. The autograph books are not expensive in the parks, I think last time we bought one it was $6.50. Not much in the way of choice that I remember. It seems like there was only one design avaliable....

There is only one type of autograph book sold at Disney World.

We make our own and this is how...

This year we bought a photo album (4x6) at Wal-Mart. I think they were about $4.84 or so each. They are striped in bright colors. It has a 3 ring type binder in it.

We purchased stickers at Wal-Mart to decorate the outside of the album. They have Mickey and Friends stickers that are wearing beachwear which perfectly coordinates with the stripes on the album.

I then popped open the 3 ring binder portion and took the sheets of paper out of the sleeves. I took 10 out of each. I left the remainder of the papers in the sleeves for now.

Next I put the papers in FRONT of all the sleeves. The kids will have the characters autograph the pages. While waiting in line, waiting for the kids to finish eating, etc. I will put the signed pages in the sleeves and take more blank pages out.

When we come home... I will make a front page for their autograph book and put the first signed page in a sleeve. On the facing page I will put a picture of the kids with that character.

This way the kids can identify the character's signature by picture. :)

We did this last trip and it worked GREAT. Our autograph/photo albums are in great shape. The kids love looking at them and the sleeves really protect the pages from messy fingers and tearing. :)

One more perk ~ friends who look at the albums that aren't Disney nuts seem to get the 'autograph experience' more when they associate a name with a face. :)

If you have a Meijer store near you, they stock some 4x6 albums with the 3 rings also. They have Pooh, Mickey and Minnie. In 2002 the Disney store had princess ones, however this year they don't stock any photo albums. :( I wish they did, we bought the princess ones last trip and the girls loved them. This time they were thrilled with decorating their own. :)

Thank you so much for your idea! That sounds great! I know for a fact that my girls would love to help make their own personalized album. I'm a scrapbooker, so this is right up my alley. Thanks again for the great idea!

Your very welcome HollyJoy!

I forgot to add this...

This year we left the clear plastic on the exterior of the albums. This will help control how dirty the cover gets and help if it accidentally gets wet.

We decorated them on the plastic. The plastic is shrink wrapped, so it isn't bulky or anything.

I saved the 2 extra sheets of the stickers so when we come home we will take the plastic off and re-decorate the albums on the outside. :) It won't take long and it will help on the wear and tear of the albums. They take quite the beating going in and out of the backpack.

Have a great trip!

If you are a scrapebooker this idea may not be for you but may help
other less creative types. I purchased small, square, colorfull memo books at our local
Dollar Tree (plastic cover) and Disney stickers (3packs each). My kids (9 and 7 ) spent
and hour or two decorating the cover and pages of these books before our trip. They really
enjoyed it and it helped them get in on the planning of the trip. We also used these books
as our "passports" in Epcot. At each Kid Cot station the personnel stamped the books and
put a message in their native language. This is by far the best $$$ I spent. The kids
used these books to jog their memories when telling family, friends and their classes about their
trip. And we all enjoy looking over them from time to time while planning our next trip to
WDW.

Excellent Idea!
Making your own!

We have gone to WDW so many times, and each time my daughter wants a new book--btw-the books are never filled!
6.50 is alot of money for only using a few pages!!!!

Making one, that's our project for this wknd.
I found some princess stickers weeks ago so cheap, and this a great project we can both work on together

Thanks again for the idea!

Just wanted to let those of you who are having a hard time finding Disney Stickers that you can find them in the Dollar Stores! Also check out your discount stores such as Target and Walmart in the Party aisles (where the kids party favors are). Craft stores like A.C. Moore and Michael's also have them in their Sticker Aisle...near Scrapbooking supplies, and are often on sale!

Hi there! We were just at Disney last week and I purchased autograph books for my girls at the Publix grocery store just offsite. They weren't hardcover books like the ones sold at Disney but were just as cute IMO. They were spiral bound and had several different designs, including pricesses I believe. The best part was that they were only $2! Hope that helps!
