How many DL autograph books is enough? DS (6) & DD (3) both already have 2 completed books from our previous trips to Disneyland. What are the chances they will want another book?

My kids take a book each trip.....They wouldn't even think about not having one for this trip....that's part of their fun, is seeing & getting the autographs of as many characters as they can.

This last trip I brought 8X8 cardstock and a big sharpie. My boys had a great time getting autographs at the character meals, but would not dream of chasing down charcters in park. I have a dedicated album that I will be making with those and the pictures.

Same with us! I make the girls their books from the 6X6 books you can get at Walmart. (They have a foam cover) Each character gets their own page and the characters always make a big deal when they see their personalized page.

What would you suggest using for an autograph book? This will be our first trip to DL. DD is 5, DS is 2.

More than likely they will want another. That was my favorite thing to do when I was young, and I still do it sometimes now.

There are official Disney ones you can purchase. I also think a small, Disney themed notebook or pad (see Walmart or dollar store) is good if you don't want to spend the money for the Disney ones. Or if you are crafty, I have seen tons of cute ones people have made on their own.

The foam covered books I bought at Walmart were only $5 and came with foamie stickers and glitter pens to decorate.

Okay, I will plan for picking up 2 books for DS & DD. I am partial to the book withe photo sleeves.

What character pages did you make? I'd love a list because I want to make autograph books for DS and DD. I've only been to Disneyland once before for one day so I don't know what characters we will see. Thank you.

Yes, you'll definitely want those autograph books! For our next trip, I have a Pluto themed one for ds and a Pirates themed one for my nephew.

Here are some characters you might meet (also depends on if/which character breakfast you do). I've seen these characters at DL:
Mickey
Minnie
Pluto
Goofy
Chip n' Dale
Donald
Fairy Godmother
Captain Hook
Pooh
Tigger
Rabbit
Eeyore
Mad Hatter
Alice
Cruella Deville (spelling?)
Buzz Lightyear
Sully (big blue Monster)
Belle and the Beast

I need to go through my pictures to see if there were more characters we met. Also, we meet very few princesses since we usually have young boys with us. :rolleyes1

I used a bunch of cardstock from my scrapbooking stash to make albums for the girls. I cut the paper 4x8 so there is a lot of room after I punch holes and do some decorations with stickers. I also found some washable markers with a cap that slides and has a loop so I'm going to tie it to the book with a ribbon. I just have a plain one that I bought at one of the stores for my book. LOL

We have gotten the following autographs before:

Ariel
Belle
Buzz
Chip and Dale
Cinderella
Eeyore
Goofy
Iridessa
Tink
Jasmine
Jessie
Mickey
Minnie
Pluto
Pooh
Princess Aurora
Snow White
Tigger
Woody
Stitch
Aladdin
Cruella De Ville
Alice
Mad Hatter
Atta
Captain Hook
Mulan
Frozone
The lady from the Incredibles
Old witch from Snow White
Mary Poppins
Sully (he doesn't sign though)
Wendy

In addition, I take pages for:

Rosetta
Silvermist
Fawn
Donald Duck
Daisy Duck
Evil queen from Snow White
Peter Pan
Pocahontas

Then I take a bunch of blank pages in case I forgot anyone! :) I glue the picture of my daughter with the character to one side and put the autograph on the other.

I am going to make an autograph book for my girls for our trip but I am wondering what size should I make it?? I was just going to us scrapbook paper I already have and use my friend's binding machine. How big of a piece of paper do the characters need to be able to sign??

The one I bought is 5x7 for the cover so the pages are a tad smaller. I used 12x12 paper and cut a 4" strip off one end then turned the page and cut 3 more strips so I got 4 pages from 1 sheet of paper.

Mulan was at two character meals and she also left the Princess Fantasy Faire area while we were in line. Not sure if this was due to Halloween (we went in late October last year), or if she can be seen regularly.

The Queen of Hearts was also out pretty often during our stay, we often saw her several times a day.

Also one day we met Brer Bear and Brer Fox near Splash Mountain.
