I have gotten very excited about doing homemade autograph books for our October visit to DL-our first ever!!
but I have quickly become frustrated. Found some great designs (thanks all) in the thread on how to make a book.
but first tried playing with Word but the photo's all looked blurry at the 4X6, so decided might be easier and less stressful to just print them out.
I found artscow and really like the sight- but again when I tried to order the prints the sight said the resolution was not good/poor and they looked blurry. I have downloaded multiple cards-from many of the desighners on the photobucket list of the instructional thread and they all alerted to being poor resolution?? I know I am missing something-why am I making it so hard?
any help????

thanks ahead of time.

i am new to this myself but i found tht you need to make the pic as large as you can on the screen(zoom in) before you download it. this will give you a higher resolution file

It sounds like you are saving the thumbnails and not the full photo file. I have detailed instructions in post #1 of the Autograph Book Thread (link in my signature) that will help to walk you through it. :goodvibes

Common mistake....one of the questions that pops up most often. Hey, I know I don't make DISigns that are blurry! :lmao:

Now I just hope you remember where you downloaded them from......

thank you all so much!! I knew it had to be simple ( I was saving as an image-oops) and no I don't know where I got them all from-but that is the beauty of it I guess because now I get to start over and choose all over again-I had designs from many of you as I love all the different styles. Thanks again for your time and effort!

If I do have a company print them will it matter much that they are not on card stock but matte finish photo paper instead?

thankx

No, it will not matter. You can have them printed as either matte or glossy photos, and either will work. Use a Sharpie pen for your autographs and give them ten seconds to dry before you close your book or put them away. I would recommend the retractable Sharpies because they don't have lids to mess with. :goodvibes
