Dearly loved, will be forever missed.
Reunited with his sister Heidi [2000-2010].

We miss you baby boy....:sad1:

Oh Karen, I am so very sorry to hear the loss of your beloved Shultz. We love our dogs like our children in my extended family so I really feel for you.

Oh Karen

I am so sorry.

We had to say good bye to my darling 15.5 yr old baby boy in June. He has been my loyal companion through moves, husband being deployed, I still tear up when I think of him. He no longer follows me to bed. It is still so raw and a little piece of me is still missing.

Cry as much as you like, there are no words...

I cant breathe
I had just come to terms with losing his sister 17 months ago, and now he's gone as well..
2 days ago he was fine, then this afternoon I have to make a choice about either letting him suffer or holding on
I just killed my dog
unbelievable grief..i cant stand this pain

Karen, I know how you feel. I too am a dog lover. Just know that you gave him a fantastic life, and he made yours much richer too.

Oh Karen, I am so sorry. It is really tough letting beloved pets go.
We had to have one of our old horses put down on Tuesday (he was in his late twenties and we had been with us 17 odd years). It is always a stressful and upsetting time. I hope that in time the feelings of grief ease for you:grouphug:

I think thats the worst part, even though you know you made the decision for the right reasons it is hard to get past the I just killed my dog. I am crying even typing this. I got asked if I was ready for a new dog the other day and I burst into tears. I do not ever want to feel this pain again.

DH and I were both bawling, and went, god how would we be with the kids.

Just take each hour as it comes, and cry lots, you are most entitled.

I'm so sorry Karen! Can't even imagine how sad that must be. We have two fluffy babies who we love dearly and I often have the thought that if something happened to them we couldn't cope and that we shouldn't have got them in the first place for that reason, but I guess it's the old "better to have loved and lost than never loved..." , try to think of the good memories. :flower3:

Oh Wow Karen :hug::hug::hug: I am so sorry about your dog :sad2:

I know how you feel, we are big animal/pet lovers and I know the devastation of losing a true unconditional loving friend and making that decision to end their pain is truely heartwrenching. I know there isn't anything that can make the pain more bearable other than time. to you .

oh karen, i am so sorry... i lost my beloved puppy (she was 22 yrs old) a few years ago, and i still look at the door in the morning expecting to see her happy little face looking back at me... :grouphug: we are here for you, and we hold you in our thoughts.

:hug: :grouphug::sad2:
Oh Karen - that is so sad. I lost my little Skye (she was 17) in January last year and I still miss her dreadfully. It does get easier, but you never ever forget. Schultz and his sister will be with you in your hearts forever.

I am so so sorry for your loss Karen. As Aussietravellers said time is the best healer of these wounds xx.

Am so sorry to hear this Karen!! What a heart breaking decision for you. :(

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your little guy, hope you feel better as the days go by.

Hey,

Thanks so much to everyone for their kind thoughts......I needed to share, and you guys have been there with the high points ie: trip report & planning...so thought who else to share the low points as well.

But I still think this "circle of life" thing sucks.:headache:

Oh Karen, I am so sorry this has happened. It must have been so difficult. Will be thinking of you.
