Last year you had to book Auntys at 2 weeks out and it looks like it has changed to 3 months. I am trying to find the time it opens up. Anyone know thanks!

Also noticing that it is not completed booked out in May.., does it not sell out like it did last year? Or is just because May is slow for Kids and when I come in June it will sell out fast again. Or did they just raise capacity? Thanks.

Not sure about the exact time but you should be fine at 90 days. May and early June are still off seasons. I just booked it for 6/3 this morning and I was the first one.

Would one of the more experienced Aulani members mind sharing how the Aunty's reservation system works these days? You can only send your kids for narrow windows of time?

You just go on the Aulani website under activities and it will take you to an external reservation site. There you can choose your options. There are free and paid events. I’ve never done the paid ones. Free activity are scheduled for 8am, 10am, and 12 and are 1.5 hours long. You can only sign up for one free activity per day but combine a free and paid event to have your kids there for about 3 hours total.

Thank you! I’m honestly shocked that it’s so short, as DCL will take your kids for more than 12 hours a day. Need to figure out how to break it to my husband that there’s going to be limited adult only time on the trip.

I’ve never been on a DCL but seriously? 12 hours?! That’s insane! I wouldn’t know what to do with myself with all that time. And I might get a little nervous having the kids disappear for that long. I guess I’m just not used to it. At Aulani, that hour and a half is so precious and goes by way too fast.

As someone said Aunties used to be this way. My wife talked to the Aunties manager at length about this in January and also why they upped the age. The manager said the state licensing changed and they didn’t have enough CMs. I personally think it is a cost saving measure. We did one day for the kids but we didn’t do any others as the time was too short and really didn’t give us time to escape for a half day or so.

I don’t know the exact hours because we rarely take our kids there before lunch, but I think DCL kids club is open from at least 8AM until 11PM (or possibly midnight) almost every day of the cruise with a lot of engaging programming for the kids. For the past 2 years, you need to pick up your kids for meals, but as long as you feed them a couple times a day, you could theoretically have them there for more than 12 hours a day. We typically spend the mornings through lunch as a family, drop the kids for a couple hours in the afternoon, watch shows and have dinner with the kids, and then leave them in the kids club again from 9-11.
