Aunt/Niece trip

I am in the process of planning a special trip for my niece and I in May. I go to Disney once or twice a year, so it's not new to me. BUT...I usually go by myself so I can, selfishly, do whatever I want. Help me find things that would be special for the two of us to do. We're going to do a character meal (her choice), and clearly do the parks, but what is fun/cool/special for a 12 year old girl? I only know what is fun/cool/special for a 42 year old who THINKS she's 12 when she's at Disney.

My daughter loves picking a pearl in Japan. It can be quite the production and then we take the pearl and make jewelry with it. Last time we went she was 12 and she got twin pearls in her oyster so we made earrings. Fun experience and won't break the bank.

Thanks. I've thought about doing that in the past, but never gotten around to it. Picking a pearl might be a lot of fun AND give her a special remembrance of the trip.

We just did this on our mother/ daughter(16) trip. Loved it!
