Could you expalin what the new ROFR fee is at Aulani.
Thanks
Aulani's ROFR fee is not new to the Disney Vacation Club; all DVC resorts have the same fee. What is different at Aulani compared to other resorts is that DVD indicated that it may charge as much as $250 to issue a waiver of ROFR.
Aulani's Public Offering Statement Text, Section 7.b.(2)(b), states: "DVD is entitled to charge a fee of up to $250 to review all right of first refusal offers, which effectively means that Purchasers may not be able to sell their Ownership Interests until they have paid this fee to DVD."
DVD charges a ROFR fee at all other DVD resorts but, in the past, it was significantly less that $250. In August 2009, when we bought an AKV deed on the resale market, the seller was charged $20 for a Right of First Refusal recording fee. Perhaps others who have sold or bought resale deeds more recently can confirm the amount of the fee.
It should be noted that the POS and Master Declarations of Condominium at other DVD resorts fail to mention how much DVD will charge to review ROFR. Thus, there is no guarantee that the ROFR fee will not change over time at the other resorts.
