Staying at Aulani and will have a rental car - two adults, no kids. We'd like to take a day to visit the Dole Plantation, North Shore, Kualoa Ranch, and Turtle Bay Resort. I've looked at a map and understand where they are in relation to each other.

My first question - is it possible to do all this in one day? I wasn't sure what kind of road conditions or traffic concerns may impact our route.

Secondly, how much time would you allow for the Dole Plantation and exploring the North Shore? It looks to me like the Dole Plantation wouldn't take that long.

And lastly, aside from the 90 minute tour we picked out at Kualoa Ranch, is there a lot more to see or do there? If so, we might save this for another day but are trying to limit the number of times we venture that far off property.

Thanks all!

At the Dole Plantation, are you planning on riding the train and/or doing the maze?
Where do you want to visit on the North Shore?

Try GoHawaii.com the official Hawaii visitors site. They have lots of information.

I would consider doing Dole Plantation and North Shore in one day and Kualoa Ranch another day, if you want more of a relaxed vacation. Pick up some malasadas at the Leonard's truck along the way. I enjoy Dole Plantation a lot, whereas DH doesn't. You can ride the train and do the maze, as the PP stated. Also take some time in their gift shop and get the Dole Whip (yum!). Have lunch at Kua 'Aina and shaved ice at Matsumoto's (although we usually just get one across the street). Then head to North Shore for an afternoon at the beach and Turtle Bay resort (I've never been). On your way back, you can grab dinner from one of the shrimp trucks. On a different day, you can go to Kualoa Ranch and maybe spend afternoon exploring the beaches on the east side of the island (i.e. Lanikai Beach). DH and his friend did the ATV tour at Kualoa Ranch. His wife and I did the movie tour with the kids. I didn't care for it much since it was really hot and dusty (or maybe it was because I was chasing 2 little kids around).

ETA: you can probably do all of it in one day, but it will be a really packed and tiring day.
