Hi Everyone. We're staying at Aulani this August and I was thinking about booking the Creation dinner show at the Sheraton Princess. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the dinner show.

Is it a far drive from Aulani? It says 38 mins on the map, but it looks farther than that.

We'd like to get the Deluxe package which is a bit pricey, but if it's worth it, I don't mind. It says 4 course table service meal. Has anyone here had it and was it relatively good? I'd hate to pay that much for poor quality food.

I read a few reviews online and most are favourable. I'm just wondering what others here think of the show.

Also, is the show appropriate for children (age 8 and 14)?

Lastly, are the seats preassigned or just tables or neither?

There are other luaus we're looking at, but to be honest, I like the idea of having an indoor dinner show. I know that most people prefer quite the opposite, but eating a dinner on the beach or an outdoor buffet is not at all appealing to me. Yes, I'm strange! :lmao:

Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.:goodvibes

To be honest, I've read good and bad about every luau. Really depends on who you talk to or what you read. We're doing Paradise Cove in the Royal Box (so not buffet), but mostly so we can walk from Aulani.

I haven't but I used to stay at this hotel a lot. I would say with parking and traffic, 1 hour is more reasonable. The hotel is also located right in the middle of the strip so its convenient to shooping and dining. I would get there 90 minutes early so you guys can walk around and get drinks at the Moana right across the street. Nice oceanviews and beautiful atmosphere.

Check on yelp or TA for reviews. There is also a newer show in town that is indoors and that one got great reviews. Cant recall the name but if you google it will come up.

Thanks for all your replies. :)

I did research some reviews, but there seems to be differing info.

I find the Disboards is great for consistent info.

Some say it's appropriate for children and some say not so much.

Thanks so much for the info about the location and time. We'll definitely take your advice.

It's so difficult to plan something for a place I've never been. It great to get some suggestions and advice from those of you who've been there. :goodvibes

The Royal Box at the PC was one of our options, but decided against it. I'm reading so many not so great reviews and it seems like it's a larger # of people. I do like the idea of walking there from Aulani. The one we were going to do was the Fia Fia Show (also walking distance), but I don't like the idea of buffets. I wish that the Chief would do just a show. I hear he's wonderful. I think doing the Premium Package for his other luau at Sea Life would be great, but it's too far away.

I forgot to say...with kids you don't want to wander behind the Sheraton near Kuhio. Alot of girls "sell their trade" behind this hotel and it may be confusing for your kids.

Stay on the main strip and you'll be fine, but the parking structure entrance is on the side sort of on the back side.

My husband used to drop me off at the Valet/turnaround portion and he'd drive into the structure himself. The entrance into the hotel comes in very close to the lobby (small lobby). I'm lazy and didn't feel like walking in from the structure. It's not bad, but it's not super pleasant.

Has anyone here been to the Creation show with their children? I'm still concerned about whether the show is appropriate for children.

I haven't found mention of this show here and when I use the "Search", it's not finding anything on DisBoards.

Any info would be appreciated. :goodvibes
