Hi,

Does anyone know how what the Aulani refillable mugs look like and how much they are?? Are the refillable stations convenience to get to?

Thanks,
garydeb

We have older ones (which are similar) but the ones from last year had an allover cream and blue or red Hawaiian pattern. There are refillable stations in the new grab and go spot and inside the store near the lobby. There are several other refill spots out by the pools.

There are new mugs for 2015. And now only three places for refills - the one in the store was removed when they completed the new Ulu Cafe. From the Aulani Web site: http://resorts.disney.go.com/aulani-hawaii-resort/dining/quick-service/ulu-cafe/

If I remember correctly they cost $18.99 plus tax.

Resort-Refillable Mugs
Purchase a Resort-refillable mug and enjoy sodas, tea, coffee and cocoa during your stay.

Choose from a variety of mugs with Aulani-inspired designs. It's a great keepsake to enjoy even after you vacation!

Mugs can be purchased at Ulu Cafe and Kālepa's Store. Refillable mug stations are in the following locations:

  • Lava Shack (located just across from Mama's Snack Stop): Offering fountain beverages from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • Ulu Cafe: Offering fountain beverages, coffee, tea and cocoa from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • One Paddle Two Paddle: Offering fountain beverages from 10:00 Am to 8:00 PM [edit: One Paddle Two Paddle now closed, but the drink station may be open limited hours]

Hours of operation are subject to change.

As was mentioned they have the new style that is shown above - in the green and in blue. They also have the old style too - I got one of the red Hawaiian print the last week of Feb and they had the blue also.

We purchased the ones like the one in the photo in October in both the green and blue. They will had the older ones in red and blue with the Hawaiian design as well.

Just curious when we were there in October 2014, One Paddle Two Paddle was never open and there was no drink fountain there either. We got refills at Off the Hook when they were not busy. Was it open for any of your trips?

You're right. I didn't even think of that, but they closed One Paddle Two Paddle when the Ulu Cafe opened. They did have a drink station there for a while after, but it wasn't operating when we were there in January. I suspect it is permanently closed now too. So the Aulani Web site isn't up-to-date (no surprise there) and now only two places to get refills.

The shelf of drinks from Oct looks just like it did when we were just there so I'd almost guess they're keeping both types of mugs.

The drink station at One Paddle Two Paddle was still open when we were there 2 weeks ago. It's a little shorter hours like down by the Lava Shack so Ulu Cafe is the main location and open the longest.

No, it's still open so 3 locations.

That's so weird. We were there in January and it was completely closed up. Even the sign was gone. The drink station was still outside, but not operational. One Paddle Two Paddle is not listed among the Quick Service places on the Aulani Web site.

Just to clarify - I'm referring to the drink station. One Paddle Two Paddle was closed up tight. The drink station would get closed down for the night and early morning but I did refill there once.

It was the same for us in October. Went there to fill our mugs and another man was there pushing all of the buttons, hoping one would work. It was around 1:00 PM and the resort was 97% full. You think they would have had that one operational.

I just came back from Aulani, and the refillable mugs were totally worth it. They have 3 stations where you can fill up, and we never had any issues!
