Aulani Question - Taking Charley's Taxi from Airport to Resort

Has anyone used Charley's Taxi to get from the airport to Aulani? Their website says they charge a $55 flat rate. Assuming a 20% tip, they are still much cheaper than other taxi estimates. It doesn't look like you can schedule them in advance. They provide a phone number for you to call when you land in Honolulu.

Any first hand reports? We are landing late at night and I don't want to rent a car until several days into my trip. My concern is that I will call the number and no one will answer the phone? Or that they will, but the cost will be much more than the $55 flat rate. Anyone??

Hi...Yes, you can schedule them in advance. I think it is best to do to get the flat rate. If you look at the top right their website where it says "Book reservations" click on it and you can book online. We used them for our trip and I believe I booked 2 days in advance. I received an email back from them very quickly. For the return trip home, I went to the valet desk, a day or 2 before and they book them for me. I was going to book online myself but went to ask them what time we needed to leave to resort and they took care of it for me.

We had a good experience with them. The drivers especially the one on the way to Aulani were very friendly. When you land in Honolulu, you need to call the number so they know you arrived and the driver meet you at the taxi area. I think it took them about 10 minutes from when we called to get there.

We used them. Great service and yes, $55 flat rate. They also have a flat rate from Aulani to Pearl Harbor if you are interested.
