Aulani free laundry for DVC?

Hello. Does anyone know if DVC members can use the laundry services for free, like at WDW? Thanks.

There are always washing machines in the rooms at the resorts.

Ok, I received an email from Aulani that studio guests receive 6 tokens per day. Here is the response:

Thank you for contacting Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. In response to your inquiry, if you are staying in a 1 Bedroom Villa, 2 Bedroom Villa, or 3 Bedroom Grand Villa, there is a washer and dryer in those rooms. If you are booked in a Deluxe Studio Suite there is a guest laundry room on the first floor. DVC Members receive 6 tokens per day for the laundry room. The tokens can be picked up at the front desk. The tokens are equivalent to $1.00. The following information is the cost to use the laundry facility.

Number of tokens needed:

3 Tokens for Washer

3 Tokens for Dryer
2 Tokens for Laundry Detergent



So I'm still waiting to hear back from them if we actually PAY the $1 for each token, or are we provided these at no cost (with hotel guests having to pay the cost, not DVC).
If anyone knows, please let me know! This will influence our packing! Thanks!

The wording of the the response "DVC Members receive 6 tokens per day for the laundry room. " would make me assume that DVCers receive the 6 tokens per day free. If you need more token (ie more than 1 load of clothes per day) then you pay.

Useful information - thanks for checking! I don't think we'll be doing laundry as we'll only be there for 3 days, (part of why we were okay with studio) but with DS5 around you never know ... I didn't think we'd need to use the laundry while on a 5 night cruise either, but somehow we did!

This is great info, Thanks. We will be staying in a studio for 16 nights. I didn't really give much thought about doing laundry, but if tokens are free, then I just might have to.

I contacted Member Services today to confirm...and yes, laundry services are free!!!

We plan on staying a week in a studio in September, but will want to do laundry on day two at Aulani as we will already have been in Hawaii for a week. So each day do we have to go to the front desk to get our daily supply or can we get our weeks worth at one time?

Even if we have to pay to use the washer and dryer it's still cheaper than getting a 1 BR for almost twice the points of a studio.
