Aulani--DVC hotel rooms

Hi all,
Can you please tell me the difference between a DVC hotel room and a standard (book through Aulani) hotel room? This is one of our options and I'm not sure if it's a good one. We were looking to book a Studio. View is very important to us, we will pay for the ocean view.

They are standard view hotel rooms that were transferred over to DVC. The setup is still the same as the regular hotel rooms. A standard view grand villa was removed from the time share and converted into a poolside cafe. These hotel rooms were transferred to DVC as an offset to the loss of the GV.
