Hoping our August trip will still occur. We have 9 day hoppers booked, with mornings at a park, afternoon swimming and an evening park. We stay at YC so we can walk in the evenings to Epcot and HS. We usually enter evening park for a 6 pm ish dinner.
I wonder how evening entrance to the parks will be? Also wonder if a reservation will get us in similar to their normal phased closure policy.
I understand that once capacity is reached not even a reservation will get us in.

Nobody knows the answer and anything is rumor or speculation. Until Disney officially announces nobody can say.

We had to reschedule from May (we would still be there right now!) to Aug and have 8 day PHs, staying onsite. I have the same concerns as you. If there is a cap on how many people can get into the parks (or specific park reservations) how will hopping work? And if they do not allow hopping would they compensate guests w/PHs in any way? I will not buy another set of tickets so I guess that would be a deal breaker for us. PHs is another thing Disney has to think about when they plan for opening.

Of course I'm not (and assuming you aren't either) really asking for answers, just wondering, worrying and commiserating ;)
The whole wait and see is so frustrating but I do not blame Disney or see how they can give us any information when even they don't know for sure when (and in what capacity) they will open.

I vote you drop your hoppers, go to one park each day, and book dinners in the park you plan to be on each day--that's what I'm doing. I am expecting them to follow the Shanghai model and require you to reserve a specific park for a specific day for the first couple months of operation. I assume they would refund hoppers if they do that, but at the point they officially announce it, it may be hard/impossible to reconfigure dining and FP plans because availability may be very limited. I know none of us have a crystal ball, but we do know that trips this August are not going to be "normal" at Disney, and I'd rather try to anticipate some of the changes and make changes when I can than wait too long and have it be too late.

I wonder if we do one park a day could we still go swim then go back to the original park? We stay at YC and walk to Epcot and HS . Wonder we could get back into those parks at night If we start our mornings there.

That's what I'm thinking. IF it is like the Shanghai example, you'll have a ticket for that day; and capacity will be limited in advance so there wouldn't be an issue with leaving and coming back because it's not like more people would come into the park and put it over capacity while you are gone. The problem will be if they use the system they previously employed on crowded times, though, (i.e., phased closure based on the number of people physically in the park at any given time) then you do have a risk of no re-entry.

Wish I could change the tickets but I got them from a 3rd party. We never get hoppers at WDW but since we were going to be staying at the Dolphin I figured we would go to Epcot or MGM most nights. We will now stay the CBR which is kinda the same because of the Skyliner. Guess I should not worry too much since we got the tixs at a stupid good deal - less than what the 1 park is selling for on the Disney site.

I am not big on parades, characters or fireworks but others in our party are so we might cancel once we know more about what will/won't be available. Next available time we might go is Nov but it will change who is going again :tilt: After that it might not be until Fall 2021 - hope we can bridge our tickets if that happens.
